My Best Purchases So Far in 2026

Happy Friday! I want to use this post to check in with everyone. We're just about halfway through 2026 which is CRAZY. In January when I wrote about my 2026 goals, one of my goals is to only purchase 24 items this year. And it is turning out to be way harder than I thought it would be. Going through my excel spreadsheet, I have purchased 5 bottoms, 3 jackets, 13 tops- for a total of 21 items so far. Which isn't great considering I still have 6 months to go! 😳 NGL I'm starting to panic a little bit. 😅

Apparently Banana Republic has taken Lululemon's place for me. Eleven items out of 21 have been Banana Republic. The rest are Athleta. 😂

Here are my favorite items so far in 2026. This list also includes items that are not clothing related and items that I have not yet reviewed.

Since it is hot and humid, of course a lot of linen is being worn all the time, like almost every day. When it wasn't as hot I was wearing Banana Republic's Oversized Linen Shirt a lot. I would roll the sleeves up and throw it over any tank or tee shirt. Effortless and easy to wear.

I don't have a review of this gorgeous Fount bag yet, but it is coming. I have the bigger size of the Sloane as well and I'll do a comparison of the two. This Mini Sloane fits your essentials. Perfect for phone, keys, and wallet.

(Review coming soon!)

Who knew I would enjoy a cotton-hemp shirt so much? I am surprised at how soft this shirt is. It's oversized but oh so comfy. I think I may see more hemp items in my future (if I can find them).

More linen shirts. Now that it's very hot and humid, short sleeves are a must. I didn't want super short sleeves and was thrilled to find an elbow length shirt. It provides the perfect amount of coverage. I have this shirt in 3 colors. No regrets. They get worn weekly.

When I'm not in the mood for shorts, but I still want to feel comfy and cool, I throw on a pair of Dream Drape Crops. I'm honestly sad that they were only offered in 2 colors. Would 100% get a 3rd pair.

I cannot believe how many items I have purchased from Banana Republic this year. I haven't made any purchases from Lululemon so far. 😱 I keep looking and maybe I will place an order for the Daydrift Low Rise Capri Pant in Nomad. It's the only item that I'm interested in trying right now.

Can't go wrong with their t-shirts. They are super comfy and excellent quality. I wear size XS in these tees and it's the perfect casual fit.

Go Forth Goods Florence bag has been one of my favorite styles to carry. I like carrying them by the top handle, but you can add a crossbody strap for hands free. Super roomy with beautiful full grain leather. The best part is being able to customize your bag! I have around 5 of these now. 🙈

For Mother's day I bought Jared this gorgeous leather jacket from Banana Republic. It started as a gag gift but I'll admit he does all of the cooking and most of the cleaning around the house so I feel like he deserves a nice gift for Mother's Day. 😂 The distressed leather is super soft and feels and looks amazing. He loves it too. 100% worth it.

Last but not least, I was tired of having to hold my phone, and I started to get a hand cramps. 😳 I looked into PopSockets but they didn't feel comfortable and I needed some kind of strap. After reading some reviews I decided on the LoveHandle. The band is actually tight when you first take it out of the box, but it does loosen up a bit and my hand cramps went away after a couple of weeks. It also has a kick stand so you can prop up your phone. It does take some time getting used to because you have to remove it when you need to charge your phone and sometimes I forget to put it back on. But overall, very pleased with this! Definitely give it a try if PopSockets are not for you.

Do you have any of these items I've picked out as my favorite purchases so far this year? I'm going to really try and pause all clothing related purchases until fall. Fall items will start dropping in August, so I won't have to wait too long. I think I will go over my 24 items though. Looking back, I could have skipped a few of those purchases. 😓 That's it for me, hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...
