Petite Impact

  Hello from New Orleans! There was a Lululemon a few blocks from our hotel, so of course I had to go. No Athleta though, that was farther away. Tried on a couple of jackets now that "fall" should be on its way. For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4 in Lululemon tops. I've tried on the Always Effortless Jacket before but the colors never looked cute enough on me to buy. Well, until I tried on Bone! I'm wearing size 4 and is slightly loose on me, but perfect for layers.  Always Effortless Jacket Bone Size 4 Fit is slightly boxy, sleeves are a bit longer as usual and length hits at the hip. I think it's a great casual jacket. I do love the extra pockets.There's a stowable hood and cinchable hem at the waist to customize your fit. There's a very soft lining on the inside along with interior pockets. I am loving all the storage. I took this one home with me and looking forward to wearing it!   Happy Friday! Today we have a fit request from Cindy for Athleta's Run With It Jacket. I happened to see one at the store and did a quick try on. I also grabbed the Seasoft Quarter Zip in Pyrite. I am still loving neutrals lately. For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size Petite XS in Athleta. Run With It Jacket Black Size XS Athleta stores do not carry petite sizing so I usually try on XS and XXS to get an idea of what it might look like on me in size PXS. The Run With It Jacket is fairly roomy in size XS. I would definitely need petite sizing in this jacket.  The jacket length is too long, hitting my low hip. The sleeves are also very long, to no ones surprise. It's a very comfortable jacket. Fabric is Featherweight Stretch and would make a nice layering piece. Looks like the jacket is no longer being offered in petite sizing, which is very disappointing. I have noticed that Athleta is cutting back on colors and only stocking basic colors like bla...

Happy Friday! I can't believe it's going to be June tomorrow. This year is flying by. It's the start of summer season here in Hotlanta. I'm super grateful I have a few linen pieces to keep cool, but I wanted to pick up a few more. For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4/6 in Lululemon bottoms and size Petite XS in Athleta. Athleta Breezy Muscle Tank Abalone Gray Size XXS Athleta's Breezy Muscle Tank  feels like it's linen, but it's a mix of Tencel/Modal and Polyester. It's thin and lightweight and perfect for hotter days. It is a little bit on the sheer side. I'm wearing size XXS, but I found it a little too high in the armhole. You can see in the photo this tank has extra arm coverage, which is nice, but I would have preferred an XS because of it. The length hits at high hip, which I do like a lot. It's the perfect length where it's not too long or too short and still looks clean and put together. Price is $44 ...
