Review! ALO Sunset Sneaker

Lately I've been browsing Alo since they recently opened a store near me. I've looked at their bags and clothing but nothing has piqued my interest enough to try until I spotted the Sunset sneaker. Low profile sneakers are somewhat trending at the moment. I like the retro look and I've been wanting to add a pair of low profile sneakers to my rotation.  For reference my shoe size is typically size 5.5.  The sales rep that helped me at the Alo store was fantastic. She was super fun and friendly to talk to. Turns out she just moved from New York and we started talking about the things we missed from New York like public transportation that actually took you somewhere, to being able to walk everywhere and of course the food! She was also wearing a pair of Sunset sneakers in black and I really liked how they looked on her.  ALO Sunset Sneaker Black Size 5.5 I'm wearing size 5.5 and they are true to size, but if you like wearing thick socks, I would definitely size up. So fa...

Fit Review Friday! Banana Republic Mid Rise Barrel Ankle Jean and Lightweight Cashmere Short Sleeve Sweater Polo

Happy Friday! It's also the 25th anniversary of 9/11, which I can't believe it's been 25 years. It just doesn't seem possible so much time has passed. I was in college at Fordham University about to leave for my first class of the day when my grandma told me to turn on the tv. She was either on the phone with someone who told her or she was listening to the Chinese radio. I remember feeling a bit annoyed because I was trying to rush out the door to get to class. But the second I turned the tv on, I knew everything was about to be cancelled. I also remember how blue and sunny and how there was not a single cloud in the sky. It was supposed to be a perfect day. It doesn't feel like it was 25 years ago. It's so surreal. I just wanted to acknowledge the anniversary on my blog. I'm not sure if I ever have before in the past. When I look at all the 9/11 videos that come across my Instagram feed or an article in the NYTimes catches my eye, I feel compelled to watch...

New Releases Week of September 8th 2026

Apologies for the delay! I was out most of the day and finally got back. We went to see the Odyssey in IMAX. It was my second viewing of the movie, but the first time in IMAX. It is such a great movie. I think it's going to win Oscars.  I'm interested in a few things that caught my eye this week, but the prices are insane. Not sure I can justify spending so much on clothing anymore! Did anything catch your eye this week? Let me know in the comments!   Scuba Evolve OS Jogger Short Light Ivory 25" (Wow, I am shocked that this length would actually fit me!) Review! Mark Cross Archer 32 - The Oldest American Luxury Brand

Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend! I am super excited to share this review with you all. I have been looking at this Mark Cross bag for well over a year now and finally pulled the trigger when they had their Fourth of July sale. I've had this bag in my collection for almost two months. If you have never heard of Mark Cross before, I would not be surprised even though they are the oldest American luxury brand. Mark Cross was founded in 1845 in Boston, Massachusetts. They started off as a horse furnishing store before pivoting to luxury goods. Please check out my video for more of their history and how they stack up against The Row and Hermès. For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall.  Mark Cross Archer 32 Supple Soft Chocolate I fell in love with the Archer 32 in Chocolate. The leather is super supple and buttery calfskin. Amazing hand feel. It's the kind of bag you just want to caress all day long. 😅 There's only two ways you can carry this bag; handheld or ov...
