FIt Review Friday! Lululemon BeCalm Oversized Boatneck Long Sleeve Shirt and Scuba Oversized Full Zip Hoodie Waffle

Happy Friday! I've been curious about Lululemon's BeCalm line and when I saw the boatneck top in XXS, I grabbed it to try.  For reference 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4/6 or XS/S in Lululemon tops and bottoms. I also wear size PXS in Athleta.  BeCalm Oversized Boatneck LS Shirt Heathered Core Ultra Light Gray Size XXS Size XXS fits me really well, I was shocked. I also haven't worn a boatneck top in ages. I think it's gotta be over 20 years. The neckline is quite flattering and the cut is semi-fitted. The sleeves weren't overly long. The length hits at the hip. I actually don't have any complaints about this top. This would be great for lounging around the house or some quick errands, or even out for brunch/casual outing. The fabric is on the thinner side, but the inside is lined with super soft, plushy fleece. I loved how it felt. Definitely interested in purchasing one of these tops on WMTM. Retail price is $88, and I think that's a bit m...

Are We Entering a New Era of Affordable Luxury?

Some of you may know I've been dabbling in handbags for over 20 years now. When I first started, luxury bags by high end designers were aspirational. The "it" bag in 2005 was the Chloe Paddington and the price was $1380. The Balenciaga City was priced at $1195. The smaller First style was $995. Fast forward 20 years later and the prices are just insane. It's hard for me to come up with a premium designer bag that's under $2000 right now.  Top to bottom Balenciaga 2005 Indigo City $1295 Balenciaga 2005 Teal First $995 Balenciaga City 2026 $2,990 Balenciaga reissued the city bag for their 20th anniversary and the price has more than doubled what it was. Not only has the price gone up significantly, the quality of the leather feels awful. I went to the store to check it out and it feels plasticky. It does not have the same vibe as the original version.  I just googled the price of a Louis Vuitton Speedy 25 and it retails for $1940. Sure, it now comes with a crossbo...

Review! Puma Speedcat Wedge!

Happy Friday and Happy April! About 15 years ago, I had a couple of pairs of Ash wedges. They weren't that comfortable but I loved the look of them. Plus they made me a couple of inches taller. When I saw Puma released a pair, I had to give this style another try.  For reference I typically wear size 5.5 but for this review, I sized up.  Puma Speedcat Wedge Totally Taupe Chocolate Size 6 Fresh out of the box and I love the taupe suede with the chocolate accents. How cute are they? These have a velcro tab that adds a bit more of a street style. I have not worn these out yet to try, so I can't say if these are slippery or not. If I had to make an educated guess, I would probably not wear these in the rain. Since the wedges are made out of suede, I wouldn't wear them in the rain anyway, but Puma will be releasing these in a full leather version  coming April 16th! I tied the laces on the inside to give a clean look in the front. I think they're amazing. The real question ...
