Fit Review Friday! Vuori Halo Modern Full Zip Hoodie, Banana Republic Oversized Linen Shirt, Getaway Linen Blend Muscle Tank

Happy Friday! We made it another week. It's hard to believe it's already the end of March. I know I say this all the time, but it really feels like the months keep flying by. Today's fit review is a mash up of Vuori, Banana Republic, and Athleta. I've been loving Banana Republic lately.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size XS or PXS in these three brands. I also wear size 4/6 and XS/S in Lululemon.

I thought I would love this Vuori hoodie since I have one already in purple. But I don't know, when I tried it on and looked at the photos, I wasn't loving it. I am not sure if it's the color or if this particular hoodie was just off with the cut. Wearing it open, it looks fine, but when I fully had it zipped up, the front of the hoodie by the pockets would bulge out.

I'm wearing my usual size XS. I have my hands in the pockets, so this looks okay to me. The back of the hoodie also looks great.

Here is where I feel like the pocket area looks bulky. I might be too picky, but from the side angle it also looked like it stuck out to me. Anyway, I ended up returning it. I also wasn't loving the contrast white zipper.

Banana Republic had their Friends & Family event with 40% off, so I immediately placed an order for this Oversized Linen Shirt in Chambray Blue. This did not come in petite sizing, so I ordered size XXS. I knew it was going to be big. I originally thought the dropped shoulders would look unflattering on me, but with the sleeves rolled up, it actually works.

I love the side slit with the longer back and shorter front.

The feel of the linen is very soft, not scratchy at all. I will always say that Banana Republic uses some of the best linen out there.

I need opinions! Is the length of the back too long on my petite frame? It covers way more than I need. Can I pull this off without looking too frumpy. It's the longest button up shirt I've ever bought. There's a small chance it could shrink if I wash and dry it. 😅

The color is just beautiful.

Let me know in the comments if this is a keeper or a return!

Next up, I tried this tank on at the store in size small. I ordered it in size XS, which is my usual size in tops and here's the fit.

It is slightly sheer. I'm only wearing a bralette underneath, I basically stopped wearing real bras. I just can't anymore. 🙈 Bralettes are soooo much more comfortable and since there's nothing to see, there's no point in me wearing a real bra. I've gotten to that age where comfort is more important than anything else. I will add that I have tried Cakes, they're nipple covers and they really do work. I wore those for a while, it's just annoying that you have to wash them every day. I can wear them with bralettes if I want more coverage.

I love the tank even if it is a bit sheer. It'll work underneath a shirt or hoodie. With that, if I keep the linen shirt from BR, I'm at 6 items for the year so far. Which isn't bad considering April is right around the corner! That's it for me! I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

(Price drop and it is still tempting me!)

(I was actually going to buy these, but I looked to see what they were made of and it says premium suede alternative and not real suede, so now I'm not sure if I should get them.)

  1. I love the BR tank on you. As for the linen shirt I’d have to see a full length shot of u head to toe to see the proportions. I love the vuori hoody on you. It doesn’t seem to bulge in the pictures. Cindy

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...
