First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more!

For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void.

(Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135)

I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.

This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is probably why I love this shoe for long walks. I walked over 15K in these on my second outing and I didn't have any pain in my feet at all! It has a wide toe box with plenty of room for my toes. Super comfortable and light weight.

The shoe opening at the ankle and tongue does not have a lot of give. This is the type of shoe where you need to lace them up every time. Not ideal, but I read that this is necessary for ankle stability. The shoe does come up a little high on my ankle bone, but by the second walk, there were no issues.

I don't love the sole, because it just looks like big messed up teeth, but maybe it'll grow on me. I think that's probably the main reason why I stayed away from On shoes for so long. I know they're an extremely popular brand right now, and I see them everywhere. I think they're more popular than Nikes at the moment.

These shoes have a lot of cushion. If you love the Cloudmonster shoe, you'll also love these. I also love the mesh upper. It feels very sturdy and high quality. They're are a bit pricey at $170. I am going to expect these to last me a long, long time.

Overall, I completely recommend these shoes. They're fantastic for walking, and true to size. I also want to try a pair of Brooks Ghost 16. I hear great things about this brand as well. Do you have a pair of On shoes?

That's it for me! I hope you all have a lovely weekend. 😊

  1. I've never owned a pair of On shoes, but I really kind of like the look of the Cloudmonster Void. I laughed when you said the soles look like messed up teeth - I think they look like happy little honeycombs :). The fact that they come up a little high on the ankle, as you mentioned, would be a deal-breaker for me. I often have trouble with shoes rubbing on my ankle bones. I think it's a curse of having little feet!

Athleta is having a 25% of sale, so I caved and ordered the Wildberry With Ease Bubble Hem Tee, and the Apero Mesh Tank in Guava. Both colors are so pretty!

    1. Hi Lola! Ha, I like your honeycomb visual better than mine lol. I have that problem with a lot of shoes too, when the shoe comes up too high on the ankle, I have a feeling it's because of small feet too, which is why I always stuck with Allbirds. I never had that issue. Ahhhh! I am trying not to look at Athleta, I have already spent a lot on them this year, so much more than Lulu!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
