2025 is winding down and this will be my last review of the year. One of my favorite things about 2025 is discovering Go Forth Goods. As you can see my collection has grown in such a short amount of time. I think the Florence bag may be my favorite style from the brand followed by the Hoffman Crossbody, which will be reviewed soon! If the Florence silhouette looks familiar, it's because it resembles the same shape as Louis Vuitton's Speedy and some of you may know I do love the Speedy style. I'll show a few photos comparing the two, and if you want to see more please check out my video.
For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall.
Go Forth Goods Florence Merlot
I chose Merlot for my first Florence bag. The inspiration for it came from Louis Vuitton's Catogram Speedy that was released over the summer. Price tag of the Catogram? A jaw dropping $4,250. As much as I love how it looks, especially with that smooth leather, there was no way I was going to pay that much for it. If you're new to Go Forth Goods, you can customize the bag and one of the requests I asked for was a smooth hide. They 💯 delivered and I could not be happier. The Florence in smooth Merlot with a kitty cat charm from Etsy completely satisfied my want for the Catogram Speedy. Especially when the Florence cost $364 and the cat charm was $70 or so. That's a whole lot of money back in my wallet.
You can wear this bag as a crossbody, or by the top handle. The handle drop is 5 inches which I find to be very comfortable. The bag comes with a removable and adjustable crossbody strap with a thick shoulder pad which I love. I don't often carry this bag as a crossbody, but I have swapped the strap and used it with some of my other bags.
Yes, that is a Labubu charm I added to the back of the bag. 😂
Louis Vuitton Speedy 30 vs Go Forth Goods Florence in Saddle
Here are some mod shots of my Speedy 30 and the Florence. I do have a bag shaper at the bottom of my Speedy to keep it from sagging. You can also do the same thing for the Florence as well, but I actually prefer the floppy smooshy leather of the Florence. The two bags are very similar in size. The main difference is the width of the Florence is wider.
The Trifecta!
Left to Right - Saddle and Merlot
(Leather is very lightweight and I love the texture and color.)
Florence Saddle
(This leather is thicker and because of that, the bag is heavier.)
(The smooth leather is so smooshy! This color is currently not available.)
One of the new customizations is the side pocket. The original version comes with a zippered pocket, but I actually prefer the pocket to be hemmed, without a closure. This option allows you to slip your phone in easily. It can fit the iPhone Max, whereas the zippered pocket doesn't even fit a regular iPhone.
Inside of the bag is raw suede. There's a key clip that I switched out for a D ring, however the length is so short that I added an extender so it's easier to find inside this cavernous bag. There's also a slip pocket on the opposite side. The opening to the bag is a little small, and can make it difficult to see your things inside the bag, but they do have a larger size that adds 2 inches to the length and I have one on order! I'll have another review comparing the two sizes coming soon. 😍
If you haven't tried Go Forth Goods, I highly recommend it. It's not as refined as Coach with their finishing details, but I really love the leather options and being able to customize a bag to my specifications is just so much fun. Let me know if you have any questions and if I missed anything, let me know in the comments! That's it for me, hope you all have the best last few days of 2025! I should have one more post up before the New Year.
One is not like the other 😍

ReplyDeleteHi AC! I really do. It's definitely a classic. Customizing your bag is just so much fun. It's like the bag version of Build a Bear lol.
