Happy Friday! I'm obsessing over Banana Republic's Linen Chore Coat, but couldn't decide between Olive Green and Shitake Taupe. After debating for weeks, I went with Olive Green but I'm still not 100% sure it was the right choice. Let me know in the comments if I should keep, return or exchange!
For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size XXS/PXS in Banana Republic. I also wear size XS/S and 4/6 in Lululemon. Size PXS in Athleta.
I honestly love this linen short sleeve top. I have it in Reddish Brown and Campground Green. I can see myself wearing these all summer long. They are such great layering pieces, I throw them over tanks and t-shirts when I just want a light layer.
The sleeves are billowy and are a longer length which is exactly what I have been looking for. I wanted sleeves that are slightly longer for more coverage, but I didn't want them to be full length.
The quality of Banana Republic's linen is some of the best I have ever purchased. It's super soft and high quality. I'm wearing size XXS and it's still a very generous fit.

I was eyeing this jacket for the longest time and purchased it when there was a 30% off coupon. I mulled over the two color choices and ended up going with Olive Green. Let me know in the comments if I should swap colors! 😅
I'm wearing size XXS and I have to say I'm very pleased with the fit. There are a lot of drawstrings for you to play with and I cinched the waist in just a tiny bit to give some shape, but I still wanted it to be a casual fit.
The length of the jacket hits at the upper thigh and it works well on my petite frame. I also love the many pocket options.
The sleeves can also be worn at your desired length. If I leave them alone, they hit at the top of my wrists, but customized the fit and have them cinched up and cuffed for a casual look.
My favorite thing has got to be the collar. You can pop the collar and it reminds me of Sherlock Holmes. 😆 Benedict Cumberbatch version.
The linen is on the heavier side, but still a very breathable jacket for warmer temperatures. I have not worn this out yet, mainly because I still am not sure if the Olive Green would work better for my skin tone, or would the Shitake Taupe look better? Help me decide!

I like the olive green one because I too was on a hunt for an army jacket and ended up with one from super dry in military green as well. The fabric looks smoother in the model photos than your version so it’s one of those need to see it in person to know what you’re getting into 😅 I like the sleeves on the shirt! It’s like a triangle and flowy.
