Did I mention to you guys I'm finally visiting my family in New York? The last time I saw my friends and family was back in November 2019 for Thanksgiving. It's the longest I've ever gone without seeing my grandma and my parents. I'm sure it's going to be very emotional! I'm leaving Wednesday morning and I'll be there for the next two weeks. I will try my BEST to keep up with the uploads and fit reviews while I'm in New York. Expect some New York posts as well!

Today I have another Allbirds review for you guys. I'm a big fan of Allbirds, it's pretty much all I wear these days. For reference I wear a size 5.5 in the Tree Dashers, size 5 in the Tree Dasher Mizzles, Size 6 in the Wool Runner Mizzles/Wool Runners. Size 5 in the Wool Loungers. Size 5.5 in Tree Breezers. In the Wool Pipers I am wearing size 6. I will also link all my past Allbirds reviews at the bottom of this post.

I ordered these in Ironbark color which basically looks black with some specks of gray. The laces are a charcoal color. These are made of wool and considered part of their everyday sneaker line. I have been meaning to try these because they remind me of Chucks. These only come in whole sizes. I ordered a size 6 since I wanted to be able to wear these with socks and it was the right call.

I don't know if I am being too picky but I opted to return these because of the gigantic pull tab on the back of the shoe. I'm wearing a size 6, which is on the smaller end of the spectrum, maybe proportionally the tab looks smaller on a bigger sized shoe? Seriously, why is the pull tab so big? 😆 It really didn't look that big from the pictures on the website. Because other than that, this is a really comfortable shoe and I wanted to love it.

😳

This is one of the rare times where I actually returned an Allbirds shoe. I guess I'll have to stick to my favorites! Let me know if this pull tab would bother you or not. I'm curious. That's all for me for today. Hope you all have a great week!!

  1. hi Leslie! I'm so happy that you'll be visiting your family! I haven't seen mine in Vancouver since summer of 2019 too! I can't wait to visit them, hopefully some time this summer.

These All Birds look very comfy and the colour is versatile. They would pair well with any dark bottom. I agree that the pull tabs look kinda funny. They're so big that they look like removable inserts! Ha ha!

Enjoy your time with your family in NY!

    1. Hi Karen! I hope you get to see your family soon too! I'm sure you can't wait.

Glad I'm not the only one that think the tabs look funny! =D

  2. Good morning Leslie! I am so happy that you will be visiting your family in New York. Hope you have a blast and eat a lot of yummy food for me. It is one of my favorite places to visit and can't wait to go back, hopefully sometime this summer.

Another great Allbirds review! I have a question for you. I have the Wool Runner in size 6 and really like it. I am looking for something lighter for the summer and more structured to mostly walking around. What are your recommendations? I have somewhat narrow feet and size 6 fits pretty well but need to size down to 5.5 in wide shoes.

    1. I would try the "Tree" line. Those are lighter and more breathable. I have the Tree Breezers but I'm not sure if I would walk all day in those. Definitely great for casual walking and office wear. Check out the Tree Skippers or the Tree Loungers. If you like the Wool Runners, maybe try the Tree Runners? I personally love the Tree Dashers, even though they are meant for running I use them for walking and those you can definitely walk all day in. The Tree Dashers you can probably wear the 5.5. I have not tried the Tree Skippers or Tree Loungers though. The Tree Breezers I also wear a size 5.5.

    2. Hi AmherstLulu,
I ordered both the Tree Dasher and Tree Runner, and ended up keeping the former. I’m a size 7.5 and sized down to size 7 for the Tree Runner as recommended but found it a tad tight. Could’ve tried sizing up instead but I found the toe end of the shoes too flat and with the thin material, I could see my toes pushing up while I was walking.

The Tree Dasher, on the other hand, is more roomy in the front and even though the material is the same, it’s more structured and comfy.

      Hope it helps.

    3. Thank you so much, Andrea! I remember reading your comments about ordering some Allbirds shoes but could not find them. I have the Wool Runner. Size 6, my larger size, fits me perfectly but I can see my toes. Not a deal breaker since it is so comfy. I am leaning towards ordering Tree Dasher in size 6.

    4. Andrea, did you get size 7.5 or 7 for the Tree Dasher? Thank you!

  3. Thanks for the review, Leslie! Was thinking of ordering the Wool Pipers for a try and glad you did a fit review! The pull tabs are way too big and look comical to me! :D

I’m happy to know that you’ll be visiting your family finally! Hope you’ll have a wonderful time!

    1. Hi Andrea! Yes they are big, definitely will look bigger if you have small feet.

I am really excited to see them after so long. I can't wait! Thank you!

  4. Been itching to buy another pair of All Birds, there's an All Birds outlet about 35 min away, might just visit very soon. Too bad the limited editions you posted about still not in stock.

  5. I think the pull tabs look a bit too overpowering on the shoe! Especially in your size. If it's not perfect to you definitely reeturn! It is cute otherwise

    1. Agreed! Maybe they will make a newer version - and make them smaller.

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
