Happy Friday! Some news- the winner finally claimed the $200 Lululemon gift card a few days ago. Thanks again to all who entered. I do hope to host more giveaways in the near future. I find a lot of fun and joy in these giveaways and I hope it makes someone happy. 😊

My Lululemon order from last week finally arrived yesterday but the weather has been rainy and dreary so I have not taken pics but the weekend weather looks fabulous! Come back on Monday for a fit review of Muscle Love Long Sleeve Shirt and Textured Fleece 1/2 Zip

About 6 months ago I wrote a review on Allbirds Wool Pipers and loved the fit but hated the giant pull tab in the back. Allbirds just released the Pipers in a mid top which I am loving now that fall has arrived. My feet and ankles get cold easily which seems to be exacerbated the older I get. Perhaps when I was younger I was able to tolerate the cold better. Now I am all about the warm fuzzy slippers and socks. The Piper Mids are made of merino wool and they are so soft and super cozy. They come up over my ankle bone and I love the warmth the extra height provides. It's currently in 45 degrees in Atlanta so I will be wearing these a lot.

I chose the Sierra color which reminds me of Ruby red slippers that Dorothy wore in Wizard of Oz. That's literally the first thing that popped into my head when I saw them. I love this color. It's a nice pop of red in this dreary cold weather we are having. It will also be really nice to wear during the holiday season! These also come in a very interesting gray/green color that works as a neutral. There are only three limited edition colors and I am hoping more will be released.

Since these are made of merino wool I would not wear them in the rain. The bottom sole does not have that much traction either. So these are strictly for dry weather only!

As for fit, these only come in whole sizes. I'm normally a size 5.5 in Allbirds so I sized up to a 6. With some cushiony socks, they are the perfect fit. I love wearing them with my slim fit joggers. They would also look great with leggings.

I ordered a pair of Sugar Rovers to try during the summer. I did not post a review back then because they didn't fit. I ordered a size 6 and they run really big. I would have to try a size 5 and I have a feeling they also might be too big. They are seriously some funky looking sandals! They're like if Crocs and Yeezy had a baby. I will admit I kind of love the pink and purple colors though. 😆

They are super lightweight and made of foam, so they're not perfect and there are some creases along the top of the shoe.

The footbed is textured foam as well. Interesting feel that's for sure. You're supposed to wear these as sandals but I have seen some photos of them worn with socks as well. I guess if you're wearing these crazy looking shoes you might as well go all out and own the look!

Lots of traction which is great, I guess these could also work as water shoes?

That's it for me! Hope you all have a fun funky weekend! 😂

  1. The Wool Pipers Mid is so cute but I can't find them on the Canadian site! :( Not a red person but I must say Sierra is really pretty and a perfect color for fall! The tab in the back is still huge but it doesn't bother me that much when it's tone on tone.

So far all three pairs of Allbirds I have are Mizzles (1x Wool Runner Mizzles and 2x Wool Dasher Mizzles) and I love they are weather proof. I'm hoping to get another pair of Wool Runner Mizzles if a nice color comes out. Tempted to get it in Fuji but I already have Natural Black which is like dark grey heather. Would be perfect if Allbirds release a nice purple color.

Oh my the Sugar Rovers are so cute! Love the beautiful colors and too bad they don't fit! I have a few pairs of Crocs and they are perfect for summer. I usually just wear them in the backyard and they are easy to clean! Last forever as well! :D

Thanks for the reviews and have a wonderful weekend!

    1. Hi Andrea! Wow I guess they really limit Canada's inventory. I do hope you guys get the full selections that the US does soon. The tab in the back is still big but it's actually much smaller than the Piper version. It doesn't bother me at all. I don't even notice it. I'm sure it also helps that it's the same color.

I am also waiting for a nice color for Wool Runner Mizzles. I have one pair and it's starting to get a little bit worn. Not bad for having had them for 2 years now. But I do rotate my Allbirds a lot.

If they had the size 5 in the Sugar Rovers I probably would have bought them to try! Ahhh maybe next year.

  2. hi Leslie, I love the Wool Pipers on you! I've never bought high-tops before, but those look really great paired with joggers! After reading your many reviews on All Birds shoes, I finally bought my first pair of Wool Runner Mizzles a month ago in the colour "Bough". They're very pretty in person, grey with a hint of purple, kinda reminds me of titanium/moonwalk. They're very comfortable and kept my feet warm on cold rainy days. Thank you for the recommendation! Have a great weekend!

    1. Hi Karen! Yay you got your first pair of Allbirds! Mizzles are probably one of my favorites. Bough is really pretty, I almost bought those myself!

  3. I love that red in the wool pipers! Wow is that so pretty and one of my favorite colorways I've seen! Perfect for the holidays! I saw pictures of those funky sneaker sandals! If you're going to wear them, I agree you should go all out haha! I've been wearing my black DM sinclairs lately! With thick socks and the soft leather, they're so comfy.

    1. Hi Janessa! I just took out my DM too! I have the original style but in kids sizes. =D I have them in black and red and since they're kids they have a side zip. They're real leather too.

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
