Fit Review! Athleta Seasoft Straight Pant, Farallon Jogger + Vuori Performance Jogger Smoked Plum Heather

How is everyone doing? I know Hurricane Ida is barreling down on Louisiana and neighboring states. If I have any readers in the path of Hurricane Ida, I hope you're safe! If it's not one thing, it's another in this country. Today I have for you an Athleta fit review. I heard that Canada is finally getting Athleta on August 31st! I'm so happy for my Canadian friends. It's a long time coming in my opinion. Here are links to my Athleta Best of Compilation Fit Reviews and Athleta Girl Best Of Fit Reviews for easy access.

Let's get to it. For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically size PXS or Petite 0 in Athleta. I also wear size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.

Full disclosure these purchases were all made in July! 😆 As you all know Athleta does come in petite sizing and I love pairing my Lululemon tops with Athleta bottoms. The Seasoft Straight Pant feels almost exactly the same as Lululemon's Perfectly Oversized Cropped Crew Softstreme fabric with one small difference. The fabric on the pant is slightly less thick than Lululemon's Softstreme but it's just as soft. It's got that buttery suede like feel that I love. It is also cool to the touch. I ended up buying these in the Black and Abalone Gray. I'm wearing size Petite XS and I feel it is true to size. This also comes in Petite XXS as well! The length measures 23 inches long. Pant leg is straight. The length hits right at my ankles. I love wearing them with my Birkenstocks

The waist sits underneath my belly button. There is a drawstring at the waist to cinch in if needed. I find these to be very flattering and super comfortable. I think these can be worn during my work from home days, perfect for lounging around and also great for casual wear outside.

Here I am wearing them in Abalone Gray. I'm also pairing it with Lululemon's Perfectly Oversized Cropped Crew Softstreme in Gray Sage. Speaking of a matching top, there is an Athleta version- Seasoft Scoop Neck Sweatshirt. Right now there's only three colors available and the price is $79 compared to $118 for the POCC. So much more reasonable! I would like to try the Seasoft version but I'm waiting to see if Athleta will release it in more colors.

There is also an extra zippered pocked on the right side to hold important items.

You can see how similar the fabrics are between the Seasoft Straight Pant and the Perfectly Oversized Cropped Crew. They both have a really nice drape and complement each other well. Gray Sage and Abalone Gray for the win!

also wearing Lululemon's Perfectly Oversized Cropped Crew Softstreme in Spiced Chai Size 0

So I might have added another pair of Farallon Joggers to my collection in Cypress Green. These joggers do run large, I'm wearing size Petite 0 and they're very forgiving at the waist. This is where some may be sized out. Athleta needs to offer these in Petite 00. Fall is coming and I know these joggers will be rotated quite frequently. I've written a few fit reviews on these joggers so I won't get into too much detail.

They are very soft and comfortable with a 25 inch inseam. Perfect for petites! Mid-rise with an adjustable drawstring. Very casual and perfect for weekends.

Saved Vuori for last, I'm letting you all know that my favorite joggers now have a new color, Smoked Plum Heather!  So I had to get it for my collection since I do wear joggers all the time now. I rarely wear my tights/leggings anymore, but will see if I feel like wearing them again this fall. Anyone else gravitate towards joggers more these days? I'm also tempted to add the Black Camo to my wardrobe as well. If I do that I'll have to let go my leggings to make room. Maybe leggings are more of a fall/winter thing for me? I have to pay attention to see if I reach for them in the next 6 months. If I don't I think I need to let go a bunch of them.

Do Spiced Chai and Smoked Plum Heather work together? Yay or Nay? 😍

That's it for me! Hope you all have an amazing week!

  1. Thanks for the heads up, Leslie! I've no idea Athleta will be available in Canada tomorrow and will definitely keep an eye on the launch!

I'm really interested in the Seasoft Straight Pant but 23" length is gonna be too short for me. The regular length will probably be too long though ... I love pants more than joggers and this style looks perfect to me. Honestly Lululemon stuff are getting too expensive and Athleta ones are more reasonably priced. I'm really excited about tomorrow's launch!

    1. Hi Andrea!

You'll have to let me know how the experience is when Athleta arrives in Canada! I'm excited for you.

Are you sure the regular would be too long? It's showing 25" for the regular and 28" for tall. I am sure one of those has to work.

    2. Oh I didn’t check the regular length info on the website and I thought it was long for me like most GAP bottoms. Good to know it’s 25” which should fit me well. Thanks, Leslie!

Will let you know if I end up getting anything from Athleta! :)

  2. If you're looking for another patterned pair, I added the Vuori joggers in shibori to my collection last year. I love the black camo too, and this color really speaks to me now seeing them on you!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
