It's my birthday!

So technically, I still have 9 minutes before I turn 36 years old. Close enough I say. Since this is a birthday post, I'll tell you a little bit about myself. Here's a fair warning, I'm not much of a writer and I pretty much write how I speak. When I was 11 years old, I met my husband. I actually don't remember the first time I met him, but he recalls exactly what I was wearing. My brother is actually the one who introduced us. One day my brother tells me, "Jared is coming over tomorrow after school, you'll like him." Hah, did I ever. I thought he was super cute. This photo was taken probably around the time he was 18 or so. He and my brother used to work at Gil Hodges Lanes in Brooklyn. That's the shirt he's wearing. This is one of the few photos he allowed to be taken of him. He's not a fan of cameras, which is unfortunate since I'm a photographer of sorts. This was taken a couple of years ago.  I think he's even c

WMTM & Random Musings

Not much of a WMTM update today, but a few things I'd like to mention. I surprisingly really like this yoga bag. I just don't have any real need for one! The Yoga Bag $39 The Yoga Bag $39 Ready To Rulu Turtleneck $59 So now that I have a full time job that requires me to actually dress up, and by dressing up I mean business casual. I've been looking at clothing that I could wear to the office and outside of the office. A turtleneck would work, but I think I would just get too hot and there's nothing worse than sweating and not able to take it off! But I love rulu and this definitely caught my eye. If you get cold easily this might be for you.  Layer Me Turtleneck $59 Here's another option. This one is even more work appropriate, it's more fitted.  Swiftly Racerback $44 How is everyone's week going? How is your frugal February going so far? I'm wrapping up my first week at my new job and my ban is going fantastic. I'm

USA / Canada Upload! January 31st 2017

Overall a nice upload but nothing for me tonight. The dark olive Scuba is tempting but I have too many hoodies. Midnight blue is also really pretty in the Swiftly but it's not a must have. If any of those end up on WMTM I'll reconsider. Did you get anything from tonight's upload before Frugal February? This is my 5th year doing Frugal February. It's always nice to scale back and not purchase my every whim. Gives me a month to appreciate what I already have. So for me, I'm not purchasing any new athletic clothing. I may have to buy some more work clothes however, but I don't spend a lot on work clothes so it won't be very costly. I prefer to buy my work clothes from Target. =) I do not ban myself from going out to eat with my husband because frankly he just won't go for that at all even if I wanted to. I also will allow myself to purchase books and other items I need like some new socks or underthings. I will be posting some reviews next month from

Store Try On Fit Review Wunder Under Pant Hi-Rise Nulux Flux

Hope everyone had a great weekend! I'm back in Atlanta and tomorrow I start my new job. I'm really excited and also kind of dreading waking up super early again. My hours are 8am - 5pm and I'll probably have to get up around 6:30 or so. I'm really lucky the office is only a 10 minute drive or if I feel like it I can also walk it but that will take me about an hour. Before I left New York, I managed to stop by a store quickly to try on the new Nulux print in Flux. I absolutely loved it! It's really stunning in person and very vibrant. I actually had some more gift card money to use so I didn't pay full price for it. For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches and typically wear a size 4 in bottoms. Wunder Under Pant Hi-Rise Nulux Flux 50g   I'm wearing my normal size 4 and the Nulux fabric feels like butter. I love it. The rise sits right underneath my belly button.  The colors are super vibrant. My thighs do look a little bit thicker in these,

Fit Review Friday! Athleta Try Ons! Salutation Capri, Studio Wrap, Tropical Mesh Chaturanga, Jacquard Chaturanga, Athleta Girl Kickin It Joggers

Happy Friday everyone! It's also Chinese New Year weekend for me so I'll be eating up a lot of food tonight and tomorrow. It's a good thing I'm still keeping up with my workouts while in New York. I have to squeeze in my ab workout before my husband arrives from Atlanta. Then tomorrow I doubt I'll have time to get my HIIT workout in, but we'll see. If that's the only workout I miss I'm okay with that. Since Lululemon has been waning lately I went into Athleta to try on a bunch of items that were catching my eye when I browsed their website. For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear a size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms. For Athleta bottoms I am a size XS or PXS if available. Athleta tops I fit into XXS or PXS. High Rise Tropical Mesh Chaturanga 7/8 Tight Size XS Unfortunately Athleta does not offer petite sizing in their stores. However, trying on the XS size at least gives me a good idea if I really want the item or no
