Fit Review Friday! Adidas Toyko Suede

Happy Friday! I'm loving my Alo Sunset Sneakers so much that I wanted to try another low profile pair of shoes. The Tokyo shoe from Adidas caught my eye when I was in Dick's a few weekends ago looking for socks for Jared. The burgundy suede looks and feels so soft I had to get a pair to try.

For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in sneakers, but after reading reviews almost everyone said these ran large, so I sized down to size 5.

I'm glad I listened to the reviews because this shoe does indeed run large. I'm wearing size 5 and they fit great. I have slightly wider than average feet and I didn't have any issues with it feeling tight. They're roomy enough for me to wear my thick socks too!

The outside is made of soft suede I love the rubber sole on the bottom, they are surprisingly grippy. I've never experienced a bottom sole like this before and I love it.

These look vintage and modern at the same time.

I wore those out for a casual walk and while this is a low profile shoe, it does provide enough cushion for it to be comfortable. You do feel some of the rocks underneath but still comfy to walk in.

I think these look extremely cute on. The color and the textured stripes really draw the eye in. The suede is high quality. I am very pleased with these! Especially since they are under $100.

If I had to choose between the Alo Sunset Sneaker and the Adidas Tokyo, I would easily choose Adidas. The quality looks to be better than Alo, it feels more sturdy. Also the Alo sneaker costs $225, which is more than double the price of Adidas.

Do you have a pair? Let me know in the comments if you have a favorite low-profile shoe. That's it for me, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Also eyeing a pair in brown!

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...
