Fit Review Friday! Tranquil Waffle 1/2 Zip Sweatshirt and Ottoman Rib 1/4 Zip Sweatshirt

Happy Friday! Would you guys be interested in seeing updates on my move? I don't know if that would be interesting or not. We're currently getting some rooms repainted. I'm hoping that will be completed by early next week. I'm going to keep up with my regular scheduled posts with some in-store try-ons. I have a decent backlog of bags I need to review. 😅 For today's fit review, I'm covering a couple of Athleta tops.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size PXS in Athleta. I also wear size 4/6 and XS/S in Lululemon tops.

(On sale 40% off!)

I'm a big fan of the waffle trend and love the feel of the fabric. It's the only textured fabric that I find super soft. It also has a really nice drape and it's not heavy at all. Athleta really hit it out of the park with their waffle collection this year. I have three pairs of their Tranquil Waffle Joggers. Absolutely love them. This Tranquil Waffle 1/2 Zip Sweatshirt isn't as cropped as the Tranquil Waffle Hoodie. I'm wearing size XS and the length hits at the hip on me. The sleeves are a tad long, but the cuff helps keep it at the right length. It's super comfortable and currently on sale at 40% off.

I already own the Ottoman Rib 1/4 Zip Sweatshirt in Chocolate Brown Heather and I love it. Bone also looks amazing as well. Really debating if I need it in another color. (The answer is obviously no, but I still want it.) 😂

(On sale 30% off!)

I'm wearing size XXS and it's still fairly roomy. I would suggest sizing down if you want a slimmer fit.

This is a really nice alternative version from Varley's Catherine Half Zip sweatshirt. At the sale price, this is such a good deal. The length offers maximum coverage of your assets, as Athleta likes to say. Sometimes I wish it had kangaroo pockets. I'm just used to having pockets from wearing hoodies.

Love the oversized collar.

Overall, Athleta wins with this 1/4 zip sweatshirt. It's not fleecy on the inside, but I still find it very cozy. That's all for me today! I hope you all have a fantastic weekend. 😊

  1. Oh the coaster luxe joggers look great!

I went into the LLL store today and wow the logos on the team Canada jacket sure looks cheap. For $400 CAD stitched emblems would sort of be expected 🤷‍♀️

  2. Hi Leslie,
I’m not a fan of waffle knits and the only waffle knit items I own are two Waffle-Knit Funnel-Neck Long-Sleeve Shirts from LLL. Got them a couple years ago at WMTM and while they are not as soft as I wish, I love the cinchable turtleneck and how warm they are. LLL just released the same style in Black Plum and Light Ivory which I might get if they ever make it to WMTM.

I keep thinking about Athleta’s Ottoman Rib 1/4 Zip Sweatshirt and wish Featherstone and Twilight were available on the Canadian site. We only have Truffle, Bone and Elm to choose from. :(

I’m excited about your move and please share updates!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
