Fit Review Friday! Athleta Tranquil Mid Rise Waffle Jogger and Tranquil Waffle Hoodie and WMTM Update!
Happy Friday! I can't believe next week is Thanksgiving and all the Black Friday sales. Actually, Black Friday sales have already started. Lululemon's Black Friday sale Part 1 is happening today. I added my picks at the end of this post.
Today's review is all about Athleta's Tranquil Waffle collection. For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size PXS in Athleta. I also wear size 4/6 or XS/S in Lululemon.

I really love how this matching set looks! The color Bone is an off white/cream. Very pretty. The waffle is textured on the outside, but still soft. There is no lining on the inside, but the inside is fairly smooth. I kinda wish it was lined with thin fleece, to make it even cozier. I'm wearing size XS in both pieces and both items fit true to size. The jogger does come in petite sizing and I placed an order for PXS in Bone and Chocolate Brown Heather. I just got my order in and the length is perfect.

Next up, we have the Tranquil Waffle Hoodie in Chocolate Brown Heather. I'm wearing size XS. It's loose enough that I could have sized down to XXS, but the length would be even shorter. This is meant to be cropped, but since I have a short torso, the XS hits at the lower waist.
This hoodie has dropped shoulders, and the length is slightly shorter in the front and longer in the back.
The sleeve length is of course very long and I'm kind of surprised the sleeves didn't have a ribbed cuff. Although it might be because the jogger didn't have it either. The jogger has an elastic hem. Still, the ribbed cuff would have been nicer than a plain sleeve.
Waffle clothing seems to be very popular this season. I'm definitely Team Waffle. It is a very loungey/casual look but it's just soooo comfortable to wear. The fabric is just so soft and feels great on skin. I've always been a fan. One of my most worn hoodies was from Splendid and it was a thin waffle material but I wore it to shreds and eventually had to retire it.

So tempted to get the Featherweight 900-Down-Fill Quilted Jacket in Black Plum but the price is putting me off. I’m wondering if there will be a bigger Boxing Day sale this year if the merchandise are not selling well.

The matching bone colored set looks so nice and cozy! I wouldn’t get it myself due to the cropped length and sleeves but wow would be so comfortable to wear and lounge in ☺️

DeleteThe waffle joggers look better on you than the models. Can I ask how the petite xs fit on you? Do they bunch up a bit at the bottom for that relaxed slouchy jogger trend I love so much? Can you possibly post a picture of you in them? Thanks! Cindy
ReplyDeleteThanks Cindy! PXS is perfect fit. It's a relaxed slouchy jogger and doesn't bunch up at all, has a very nice drape. Wore it yesterday and Jared really liked them on me. I'll try and get a picture up soon!

ReplyDeleteI glanced at part 1 of Lulu's Black Friday sale, but nothing caught my eye. There are so many stores starting their sales this weekend! I ordered a pair of coated jeans from Banana Republic outlet - they have a 28-inch inseam, so the length should be perfect!

DeleteUgh I know! Banana Republic is having their 40% off Card Member Event and I am eyeing a Cashmere Cardigan. I have to look at what I have and see if I need one. LOL. Everyone is having their Black Friday sales early this year!
I ended up getting a backpack, the knit cardigan and some socks from the Lulu sale. I also got the heart shaped bag charm at full price. It's just so cute, I figured it would probably sell out before Boxing Day.
