Fit Review Friday! Lululemon Scuba Oversized Waffle Full Zip Hoodie and Scuba High Rise Waffle Short 5 inch

Happy Friday! Got to try on the Waffle Full Zip Hoodie over the weekend along with the shorts. I'm not a fan of this style shorts, but grabbed it because I liked the color. The store only had the Heathered Graphite Gray in the hoodie.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4/6 and XS/S in Lululemon. I also wear size PXS in Athleta.

I'm wearing size small in these shorts and they are a little too big. They didn't have size XS. I guess the waffle line is popular because sizing was very limited for these items. The waffle knit fabric felt a little too heavy for shorts in my opinion. Definitely felt high waisted on me and the inseam is 5 inches, which is much too long for my petite frame. I knew going in I wasn't going to like the shorts.

However, I did love the hoodie! It's very soft and the inside is lined. The weight is thinner and less heavy than the regular version and it's softer, and more pliable. It has a nice drape. It's a great transitional hoodie, for that in between summer and fall weather. I mentioned I had a Splendid waffle hoodie about 15 years ago that I loved to shreds, well this Lululemon hoodie is close. It's not as thin as the Splendid one, but it's just as soft. It was this exact shade of gray too!

I'm wearing size XS/S and I really like the fit. I do not love the price at $148. I wonder if these will make it to WMTM? I would go for the Graphite Gray or Warm Ash Gray, honestly I'll take either one! What do you think? Get it now, or wait and see if it goes on markdown?

That's it for me. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

  1. The Scuba Oversized Waffle Full Zip Hoodie looks really cute on you, Leslie! I did try on the original Scuba Oversized Waffle Full Zip Hoodie and find the sleeves way too long and bulky. I’m wondering if the thinner waffle version will fit better.

If I were you, I would go for the waffle hoodie in Ash Warm Grey. I got the regular fit Scuba Hoodie in this gorgeous neutral color and really love it!

    1. Hi Andrea! I would definitely give this new waffle hoodie a try. I didn't find the sleeves to be too long or bulky. I think I'm going to get it in the Warm Ash Gray! Thanks 😊

  2. I heard the waffle fabric is delicate? Saw someone on Reddit who’s hoodie was fuzzing when her belt bag strap rubbed on it 🤦🏻‍♀️

  3. I was also thinking of buying the full zip hoodie until I read her review and saw the photo.

    1. Interesting! I wonder if this has happened to anyone else or if it was a one off. I will wait and see if there are more reviews of this happening before I buy.

  4. I like the Waffle version of the Scuba Oversized Full-Zip Hoodie much better than the original fleece version on you. The fabric looks like it drapes better and I really like the fit of it on you. I kind of want one too now, lol! I would definitely be interested in the pants as well if they were available in a shorter inseam. Lulu, just do petite sizing already!

    1. Hi Lola! Totally agree, the waffle is not as bulky. I am debating on getting the gray and warm ash gray and rehome two of my fleece versions.

  5. I like the waffle line and hopes it makes it to WMTM. My top picks are the funnel neck 1/2 zip and pants in the light grey. They are so, so soft but also so, so expensive!

    1. Hi LZ! I hope so too, but I'm not sure it will because the stores have sold out of most sizes pretty quickly. At least the store I went to. I may have to bite the bullet and buy and rehome some of my other hoodies.

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
