Fit Review Friday! Lululemon Knit Button Front Cardigan, Athleta Aire Puffer Jacket, Coaster Luxe High Rise Jogger Plus Friends and Family Event!

Happy Friday! We have a mix of Athleta and Lululemon for today's fit review. I was too curious about Lululemon's Knit Button Front Cardigan to pass up. Both Athleta items are from my last haul! It was a big one. Athleta's is having their Friends & Family event with 30% off for cardholders. Use Code CARD30. This sale is 4 days only and it starts today.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4/6 in Lululemon and size Petite XS in Athleta.

How pretty is this color? Sandstone is a light pink color with brown undertones. I actually think it could pass as a neutral. I'm wearing my usual size Petite XS and it's true to size. There is a pocket on the back of this jacket which isn't very noticeable. Apparently you can pack it down and use the pocket as storage. I'm not entirely sure how you do this, and I'm not about to try. 😆

There's a drawcord at the hem of this jacket for you to customize the fit. I have it cinched in just a little bit. This jacket has synthetic fill and it's great for mild winters here in Atlanta. Even though this is a puffy jacket, it's actually not overly bulky. The inside is not lined, but it does have zippered pockets on both sides.

This jacket is perfect for layering. If you're just looking to layer with a thin sweater, it should be fine. If you want to wear a thicker sweater or a hoodie underneath I would size up. It is slightly boxy and there's no waist definition which is probably my only complaint.

The sleeves are not super long, which is nice. Overall, I'm pretty happy with this jacket and will be my fall/winter coat. Price is $149 but I did get this on sale for 20% off and I think it's worth the price.

Next up, I knew this Knit Button Front Cardigan would be super oversized on me, but I still wanted to see it in person. I'm wearing size XS and I probably could have used an XXS or XXXS! This cardigan is also heavy. Like really heavy. I do love the color Taupetastic. It pretty much goes with anything. I am really into rose/mauve color clothing these days. I can't seem get enough. I want a whole wardrobe full of this color.

This cardigan is super bulky with a lot of excess fabric and most of it seems to bulk up my hips. 😅 Definitely not the look I'm going for!

The sleeves are also super long, I have it cuffed up. The length hits mid thigh for me. I love the deep pockets on this cardigan, but this is an easy pass. For $168 😑 I expected better!

Back to Athleta and their Coaster Luxe High Rise Jogger in Smoky Rose. Taupetastic and Smoky Rose are probably my two most favorite colors at the moment. They're very similar and it's hard for me to choose which one I like more.

I'm wearing my usual size Petite XS and it's true to size. The length measures 25.5 inches. I think the length is perfect. The leg tapers down to the ankle. While I love my Vuori Performance Joggers and wear them all year round, I have noticed that sometimes they're just a little too thin for winter. I think the Coaster Luxe HR Jogger will be a nice alternative. They're thicker without feeling heavy and they are just super soft and cozy. I will definitely be lounging around in these.

These are high rise and while these do cover my belly button, the waistband is wide and very stretchy. I do not feel restricted in these. They're very comfortable. The pockets are very deep and you can see the outline of these pockets. That's the only thing I would say that bothers me a little bit. The outline is more apparent in some colors over others. It's not very noticeable on Smoky Rose.

I love this color so much, it's a keeper for me. I fear this jogger won't be the last! Price is $79 which isn't bad, but it's great when you can get it on sale!

That's it for me! Let me know what you think of these pieces. Lululemon's WMTM update is also worth checking out! It was a pretty good one this week. Hope you all have an amazing weekend!

  1. Ooooh, that Sandstone color is really pretty! The jacket reminds me of Aritzia's Liitle Puff. I like the joggers too - they look super comfy. The sweater, however, is not great. I get that it's supposed to be oversized, but that is comically enormous for it to be xs.

I woke up to 25% off on Athleta, so I got a mini-haul. I know you weren't too fond of either of these pieces, but I ordered the Cozy Karma Zip Pants in Feather, and the Seasoft Crewneck in Smoky Rose to try. I was happy to see my size was still available in both! I'm still debating about the Venice Wide Leg, but the petite inseam isn't posted (annoying), and I have a feeling they'd still be too long.

    1. My discount was 30%. I got the puffer coat, a pair of cargo joggers, and the seasoft quarter zip. The last two items were already marked down so no additional discount on them but that’s ok.

    2. Hi Lola! OH yes, it does remind me of Aritzia's Little Puff. I have one that's a few years old and was thinking about replacing it this year. The Athleta version is a little roomier.

Let me know what you think of your Athleta order. Feather is such a pretty color too. I noticed Athleta hasn't been posting the inseam length on a few items now. It is super annoying. I think the Venice Wide Leg would be too long for me too. My guess is around 28 inches.

    3. Hi Lola and Leslie,
I ordered the Venice Wide Leg Pant in Abalone size XXS Petite (love Granite Blue but not the white stripes on the side …) and will let you know the inseam length.

Also ordered the Cozy Karma Zip Pant in Feather but honestly not having high hopes. I tried on the same pant last year and there was too much fabric around the waist and lower belly. Feather is too pretty though and I’m willing to give the pant another try.

    4. Thanks for doing the research on the Venice Wide Leg for us! I'm actually eyeing the Granite Blue or the Shale ones. I like the stripes!

And you got the Cozy Karma Pants too? There was actually enough stock on the Canadian site for both of us to luck out? Yay!

    5. Hi Andrea!

I'm eyeing the Softluxe HR Jogger in Pyrite and Easy Fleece MR Jogger in Smoky Rose. I don't need another jogger in Smoky Rose so I am on the fence. But might be good to do a fit review of anyway...

    6. Hay Lola I was lucky enough to get the last pair lol!

    7. Amen on the comically large part 😂 I wonder what the other sizes look like.

  2. Hi Leslie! The Coastal Luxe joggers look very nice on you! I'm tempted to get a pair myself!

The friends & family promo in Canada is 25% off most items, no code needed! After checking your previous review on the seasoft quarter zip, I decided to order it in Magnolia white and Iris in XXS.

Hi Lola and Andrea, I have the Venice Wide Leg in Petite XXS and the inseam is 29.5". Hope this helps!

    Have a nice weekend!

    1. I don't know if the colour makes a difference, but my Venice wide leg pants are in black

    2. Thanks, Karen! I was hoping that the inseam would be 28” or shorter. :(

    3. Hi Karen, thanks for the head's up! Yep, those will be too long for me.

    4. Yeah, they're just a tad too long. When I wear mine with runners, the bottom almost touches the floor.

  3. Hi Lola and Leslie,
My Athleta order arrived and I love how the Cozy Karma Pants in XXS Regular fit on me! Inseam for XXS Regular is 27” and it’s only 24” for XXS Petite (above my ankle bones). There are still excess fabric below the waistband and around the lower belly but they somehow fit better than last year’s version.

    Very happy with my purchase!

    1. Hi Andrea! It always amazes me how fast your order arrives! Looks like the Petite version of the pants would work well for me. I'll have to take another look.

    2. Hi Andrea,
Wow, your order came so fast! I was happy to see mine was marked as shipped, but I probably won't see it for a few days yet. Glad you like them! I went with the petite length, but I think the regular would have worked okay too.

    3. Hi Leslie,
You did try on the pants in XS Petite last year and the inseam was 25”.

Not sure if they made the pants shorter this year but it’s worth giving it a try again.

Hope the petite length works for you!

    5. Hah! I totally forgot about that. Will have to give it another try since you say the fit is better this year. Thanks!!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
