Fit Review Friday! Soft Jersey Relaxed Mid Rise Short 4 inch, Soft Jersey Relaxed Mid Rise Cropped Jogger, Soft Jersey Relaxed Mid Rise Jogger

Happy Friday! It's officially fall on Saturday! I can't believe we're more than halfway through September. I just found out that Christmas will be here in 95 days. The next couple of months will fly by and before you know it, I'll be wishing you all a Happy New Year! 😆 Anyone figure out how to slow down time?

Today's review is all about Lululemon's Soft Jersey items. For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4 in Lululemon bottoms.

So how does the Soft Jersey fabric feel? Amazing! It's buttery soft. It reminds me of Vuori's Dreamknit stretch fabric. You want to sleep in them, they're so soft and comfortable. I'm wearing my usual size 4 in the Soft Jersey Relaxed Fit Mid-Rise Short 4" and I find it to be true to size. The one thing I will say, the fabric is thin and you can see panty lines, especially in the Heathered Bone color, which you'll see below. The Heathered Black looks like a charcoal gray and very easy to wear. One other thing I would point out, the drawstrings are very long. Price is $58, which is slightly cheaper than Vuori's Halo Performance Short. That said, I do think Vuori has a more flattering fit. If you're interested to see a fit review of the Halo Performance short, click here

The Soft Jersey Relaxed Mid Rise Jogger is a 7/8 length, measuring 26 inches long, which is full length on my petite frame. It's fitted from the hip through the bum, but the fabric is thin and panty lines are visible in the light Heathered Bone color. I would say they're slightly see through, and if you do buy these, it's best to wear matching skin tone underwear.

The one thing I definitely did not like about these joggers is the excess fabric below the waist. It's very noticeable and not flattering. It reminds me of my curtains in my bedroom. It poofs out when I sit down. It's a very odd cut. If I size down, it would be too tight in the rear and probably too tight in the waist.

Mid-rise hits right at my belly button.

Not to confuse everyone, but next up we have the Soft Jersey Relaxed Mid Rise Cropped Jogger also in Heathered Bone (I probably should have ordered this in a different color.) 😑 These are cropped, and they hit a little bit above my ankle but they're intended to sit below the calf. These measure 23 inches long.

The cropped jogger has all the same issues as the 7/8 length jogger, with one additional flaw. For some reason the pockets on the cropped jogger flare out a lot. I'm really not sure why that is. The leg opening is also too wide.

I decided to roll up the cuffs a couple of times for a tighter fit and they did look much better except for the flared out pockets.

These would make really great pajama bottoms I guess? But at $98, that's a bit pricey for a pajama bottom. Oh and what's even more painful is the 7/8 joggers are the same price! Verdict? Get yourself a pair of Vuori's Performance Jogger. Yes, I said it. They have a better fit, more flattering and quality is amazing. And they're $4 cheaper! I think I will get a pair in Sawyer Heather. I'm loving all the purple shades lately. Lake Heather looks nice too.

That's it for me! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

  1. The shorts are cute enough to own a pair of! But I think they're not that special. I think the vuori shorts look cuter too!

    1. Hi Janessa! Exactly. Vuori shorts are cuter. The feel in fabric s almost the same too.

  2. I guess because the cropped joggers are too long on us petites it's not hitting at mid calf where it's supposed to. The mid calf area is usually wider than the ankles so if the bottom of the joggers is hitting at the ankle, it's going to be too wide. I have the same problem with some of the cropped tights too. That's where Athleta's petite sizing is the winner. Cindy

    1. PS that's too bad because when i see the word "cropped" I get excited. But doesn't seem to work out for styles of pants.

    2. Hi Cindy! Agree, I can only pull off crops when it's in petite sizing. It's why I hardly buy bottoms from Lululemon anymore. Just have to look else where. Athleta is amazing for bottoms.

  4. Thanks for another great review, Leslie!

The Soft Jersey Relaxed Mid Rise Jogger might work for me but the price puts me off. I'm not goingto pay CAD 98 plus 13% tax for a pair of thin jersey jogger. :( I'd rather pay 30 bucks more for a pair of Luxtreme On the Fly Pant!

Fall is around the corner and I'm looking forward to seeing more purples and teals. Hoping that the Scuba Plush will be released in some pretty colors this year.

    1. Hi Andrea! Maybe the Soft Jersey Jogger might hit WMTM? They're not selling out and it's been a few weeks. Last I checked all sizes were still available.

Ohhh yes, can't wait to see what colors the Scuba Plush comes in this year. Hopefully it will come back in stock.

  5. I’m 5’7” and bought the cropped version of jersey jogger. They fit perfectly mid calf. I got Navy and bone. Perfect for fall in Nova Scotia

    1. Hi there, lucky you! Enjoy them! Bone is a lovely color. I do wish Vuori would release a color similar so I could buy them.

  6. Thanks for the reviews on the Jersey items. I can safely cross all of those styles off my list! I think the shorts are the most flattering of the three items, but certainly not a MUST have. I see the men's section has tops in that fabric. I would maybe consider a t-shirt if it was released.

    1. Hi Lola! Totally agree, would love to see some tops made of Soft Jersey. I would be willing to give those a try.

  7. Great reviews, Leslie! I'm not a fan of any of the Soft Jersey bottoms. They just seem a bit cheap and ill-fitting, at least for petites. The men's version of the jogger also has a really ugly, single pocket seam in the back. The only current item I would be interested in picking up (on sale) is the men's t-shirt. It would be great for lounging or sleep. I'll stick with my R2R & Align Joggers for now.

    1. Hi LZ! I would love to try a top in this fabric. Maybe I'll pick up a men's tee for my husband. See what he thinks of the fabric. It really is soft.

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
