New Rothy's The Driver in Latte

How are we already halfway through April? Spring is definitely here and I wanted to share my recent Rothy's purchase. The Driver is my favorite Rothy's shoe at the moment.

For reference I wear size 5 in The Point, and I also fit size 5 in The Driver.

This is my third pair of Rothy's Drivers. I have two pairs and home and I leave a pair at the office (in Cypress). My first pair of Drivers is Raspberry (read my review). Latte is such a great neutral that works well with almost any outfit. I can see myself wearing these with ankle pants, shorts, and even jeans. I will definitely be taking these with me on my business trip this week. The dress code is "smart business casual" and these fit the bill.

If you're familiar with Rothy's Points, these fit wider in the toe box and are more comfortable for walking longer distances, although I do not fully recommend wearing these if you're planning on walking all day long. The nubs on the bottom of the shoe do wear down easily. If you're walking on carpet or staying mainly indoors, it's fine, but outdoors, I'm afraid they will take a beating.

These retail for $189, which I feel like they have gone up a few dollars, but really, what hasn't?

The best thing about Rothy's shoes is being able to throw them into the washing machine. They will stay looking new and fresh. I've been wearing these without socks, but you can also wearing a liner. Another reason why I love Rothy's? These took about 17 plastic bottles to make. They are taking something that will take hundreds of years to decompose and turning it into something useable. Pretty amazing if you ask me.

That's all I have for you today! Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

  1. That's the perfect neutral color that's not black, white or grey! I love taupe and milk tea and coffee shades lately

  2. I love the Rothy's drivers! I bought the Beachside Pink and Tropical Peach, thinking I'd return one. So far I'm loving the Beachside Pink and have worn them almost every day. They're a great neutral. I thought the Peach would be fun for summer, but they may be a little too "specific" for me. Beachside Pink goes with EVERYTHING!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
