Fit Request Friday! Ribbed Nulu Asymmetrical Bra, Ribbed Softstreme T-Shirt, Smooth Fit Pull-On High-Rise Cropped Pant

Happy Friday! Just a heads up, I am going to be traveling for work next week and will not be able to post the upload as it goes live. I will get to it, but it'll be later that night. That said, today I've got exciting fit reviews so I'm going to jump right in.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.

also wearing Vuori Miles Ankle Pant (review coming soon!)

I have not tried Lululemon bras for a while and this is my first asymmetrical bra. I am super surprised at how much I love it. I was eyeing it for the longest time, but my size was sold out in black for weeks. It's finally back in stock in all sizes. I'm wearing my usual size 6 in Lululemon bras and it's a perfect fit. I'm quite flat chested (A cup) and it was snug in all the right places but still very comfortable. It's also surprisingly flattering. I just got it in, so I don't have a performance review of it yet, but will post an update in the future. If you are curious about this bra, I highly recommend trying it.

As most of you know, I love anything Softstreme and when I saw the Ribbed Softstreme T-Shirt I had to try it. Lola recommended sizing down and I am glad I did. The neck opening is a little small when pulling it over my. head, but once everything is in place it's really comfortable. The fit is still relaxed even in a size down. The length hits at the hip and still remains soft even with the ribbing detail. I went with black, but I think I would actually prefer this in Bone. The dark seams on the shoulders really stick out and are less apparent in Bone. The price is $88 and I do think it's a bit steep after taxes. If it ever makes it to WMTM, it's mine.

Last but not least, and I know you've all been waiting for my fit review on the Smooth Fit Pull-On High-Rise Cropped Pant! After reading reviews, most people sized up and I am happy I took the advice. I'm wearing size 6 in these and after trying them on, I am 100% sure my usual size 4 would not go over my hips. It was a bit difficult with the size 6, but once I got them on, they were pretty comfortable. I say pretty comfortable because they are high rise, and the fabric is not super stretchy in the waistband.

The length is a perfect fit. The inseam measure 25.5 inches long. These pants looks great with a pair of flats or if you wanted to show off your favorite pair of shoes. My Rothy's Driver in Latte is a slightly lighter shade than Nomad, but definitely in the same family.

These pants are super flattering, they look great from the back and the fabric is Luxtreme. They are slim fit and medium weight. The waist hits right underneath my belly button. It's a snug fit and I just want to reiterate the waistband is not super stretchy, so if I were to eat a meal, I'm pretty sure I would get a muffin top!

I love the side zippered pockets.

These pants fit like second skin so they will show a panty line. If you are interested in trying these, I would recommend sizing up. They're super flattering and if you love wearing tights, you'll probably love these pants. I am really happy that these are petite friendly, so I hope Lululemon will release more cropped pants in the future. Price is steep at $148. Are they worth it? I would say if you are going to wear them regularly, then yes. I ended up returning these because of the tight waistband. I just don't think I would be comfortable sitting in the office after eating lunch. 😅

I also picked up another Fringe Fighter Headband in the new floral print. It's really pretty in person and I wasn't sure what I would want in this print, but a headband is perfect. I was worried the print would be too much in a legging or top. The headband is the perfect accessory accent piece and easy on the wallet.

That's it for me, hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

  1. What a great haul! I haven't tried the asymmetrical bra yet - any colors I like have been selling out so quickly. Please do let us know if it's functional for a work out.

The Softstreme top is very nice on you. I got it in Bone, and yes, the seams aren't as obvious. However, I managed to get makeup all over the neckline trying it on, so I guess there is a drawback to the lighter color, lol! I agree with you about the price. I had a gift card to use on it, otherwise I wouldn't have considered it until it went on markdown.

And the pants are awesome! I don't think I will get a pair though, as I can't justify the price vs how much I'd actually wear them. Glad to hear the length is spot on though! Also, I can't wait to read your review on the Vuori pants :)

I grabbed that headband too as soon as I saw it. I love that print so much!

    1. Hi Lola! I can totally see why people are obsessed with the bra. I also noticed a lot of the colors would sell out quick. Will definitely report back on after a few workouts.

Oh good point about Bone. I have a few items in White Opal and I have to be really conscious about not getting them dirty. So far, I've been lucky.

I'm so glad I saw the print in the Fringe Fighter. Now I don't feel like I need to get it in anything else.

  2. Wow - the Nomad pants are a perfect length on you! I'm waiting for more colors in the full length version to go on sale. I like them a lot but am not paying full price for anything but my black pair. I totally get what you mean about them being hard to pull over your hips and the control waistband. Hopefully we'll see more business-casual options in the future.

    1. Hi LZ- I agree, it's steep at full price. I do wonder how much of a discount it would be if they made it to WMTM. I feel like it would only be discounted maybe $30. I guess better than nothing!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
