Fit Review! Athleta Haul Part 2 - Advantage Sweater, Retroterry Crewneck Sweatshirt, Transcend Stash Straight Leg Pant

Is it Monday already? Don't know how the weekends just go by so fast and yes, I know I need a haircut. I'm trying to grow it out but I'm stuck in this weird stage. 😅 I am not sure I have enough patience to wait a few more months before it starts looking like a cute pixie cut.

This is part two of my Athleta haul. Part three will be up for fit review Friday!

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size PXS in Athleta. I also wear size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.

also wearing On The Fly Crop (old)

I have been looking for some cardigans for spring and summer to wear to the office. The Advantage Sweater checks all the boxes. It's soft and comfortable. The fabric is lightweight and silky but a little nit on the fragile side. The front of the sweater has a perforated stripe along the shoulder that has the potential to snag. Damask Mauve is a pretty plum that works well with my gray On The Fly Crop. I actually think the sweater looks best left unzipped.

The details on the sweater is absolutely beautiful. The unique design along the back of the sweater that extends along the sleeves is stylish. I sized up for longer length in the body. I'm wearing size XS and the sleeves are a little too long. I do love the thumbholes and extra warmth they provide. There's also pockets! They're on the side and somewhat small, but perfect for chilly hands.

The back design is so amazing.

This is a light to medium weight sweater and made out of Tercel. Price of this sweater is on the higher end, but with the extra details and unique design I think it's worth the sale price. This is a keeper! Plus the color is so pretty.

Next, we have the Retroterry Crewneck Sweatshirt, I also sized up for a looser fit. I'm wearing size XS. If you do want a slimmer fit, go with your regular size.

This sweatshirt is so comfortable and cozy. It's made out of BCI Cotton (Better Cotton Initiative) a more sustainable alternative to cotton. It's very soft and I love the wide ribbed waistband. It provides support without feeling squeezed in. It's like a soft hug. The sleeves are long, but being as petite as I am, it's not surprising. There are thumbholes as well.

There is a bit of bat wing sleeves.

This top actually reminds me a bit like the Throwback Flashback Pullover, in the wide waistband, but I think this sweatshirt is more petite friendly. This is a keeper for me and I pulled the tags off right away. It looks great paired with the Transcend Stash Straight Leg Pant in Bali Green.

I just did a fit review on these pants in size Petite XS and placed an order for the next size up. Size Petite Small fits perfectly! So much more comfortable in the waist and hip. The length is slightly longer, but not by much. These pants are short. The regular length is 27 inches which is still fairly petite friendly for those taller than I am. I think these would look great with some flats or sandals for summer.

I love these so much, I also got them in black (backordered).

That's it for me! Hope you all have a wonderful start to the new week!

  1. Thanks for another great review, Leslie! I love the design details of the
Advantage Sweater, and Damask Mauve is so pretty. Just wish it was a tad longer.

The Retroterry Crewneck Sweatshirt looks cute on you but there is too much excess fabric in the back (picture 4), probably because of the bat wing sleeves. Not a deal breaker though.

    1. Hi Andrea! I could have sized down in the Retroterry Sweatshirt, but I don't mind the oversized look. It's very cozy! I can't wait to wear the Advantage Sweater to the office this week!

  4. Thanks so much for your Athleta reviews! It's sometimes hard to visualize how clothes will look on us shorties. I have the advantage and crewneck sweater currently in my cart and was contemplating them when I came across your blog. Super helpful info!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
