Fit Request! Throwback Flashback Pullover

Hello! Can I just say it feels so good to be reviewing fresh finds? And by that I mean, newly released items. This review is a fit request by one of you! I was interested in seeing this pullover for myself and the fit request made me pull the trigger.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4 in Lululemon tops.

Going in, I knew this top would be a challenge because of my shorter than average torso, but I was still willing to give it a try. I'm wearing my usual size 4 in Lululemon tops and the length of this pullover is slightly too long. There's extra fabric along the front pockets that poofs out. It looks fine if my hands are in the front pockets, but otherwise, it isn't super flattering and it looks like there's belly hangover.

Looks fine with my hands in the front pockets.

Surprisingly, the back of the sweater looks great. The front just looks a little too sloppy and bulky. The hood is extra large and the cowl neck in the front doesn't help matters. This pullover would work for someone who is of average height or taller. The fabric is soft but the inside isn't lined and you can feel the seams against your skin. It's not as soft as I was expecting though. It's sweatshirt material with a light to medium weight fabric.

Sleeves are long even with the thumbholes in use.

Way too much excess fabric. I'm afraid it's not flattering for us shorter folks!

The hood is extra large!

I also purchased it in black (the color is more of a heathered black instead of a true solid black) in the hopes it would be a little more forgiving. Surprisingly, it's actually even worse than the White Opal. 😅 I will say that the black version is cut slightly smaller and it was tighter around the hip and waist, and that's how I know sizing down in this pullover is not an option. The band around the hips would be way too tight, especially since it's not very stretchy at all. In case you're wondering my hips measure 34 inches or so.

I just cannot get over the belly hangover.

This pullover did not work out for me, but would be flattering on someone with a much longer torso. I wish Lululemon would make petite sizing, because this is one of those items that definitely needs petite proportions. Come on Lulu, us petites want to look cute too! I hope this review helps those who are thinking about getting this pullover. It not, hopefully it was at least entertaining. That's all I have today! Wishing you a fantastic Monday. 😊

  1. Thanks for the review! I agree that the silhouette doesn't look flattering. Actually, I'm not attracted to this overall style. Easy pass for me. Lately there is barely anything that interests me at Lululemon. My wallet is definitely thankful lol

    1. Hi Blueberries! Lucky! I'm eyeing a few more items to try from Lulu. There's the Knit Cropped Pant and the Mixed Fabric Jacket. I think I want to give the Softstreme Shorts another try now that they're in stock.

  2. I actually think this looks so cute on you and love the slouchy look. Thanks again for doing this! I was the one who requested it. I really appreciate this review and will probably order today. I’ve been looking for an oversized slouchy hoodie to throw on after yoga.

    2. I think it looks cute on you too. If you look at the models, they have belly overhang too, except for the model wearing the blue one . Cindy

    3. Thanks Cindy, that's true the models do have a bit of overhang too. It's not as apparent since their torso's are longer.

  3. Thanks for the review! The pullover looks cozy but isn't my style. The flashback items they chose are...interesting. I think if better styles and colorways were used, they wouldn't have all ended up on markdown.

  4. The hoodie looks better in the black but is too overwhelming on your frame!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
