Is it Monday already? I spent most of Saturday in bed after receiving my booster and flu shot on Friday night. When I saw the Rainbow Ebb To Street Racerback Tank, I bought it immediately and it arrived just in time for today's post. By Sunday I felt much better and managed to take a few photos of the Rainbow ETS Tank. I was worried I wasn't going to be up for it.
For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms. For Lululemon bras, I wear a size 6. For J.Crew I typically wear size PXS.

I have the Love Edition Swiftly from a couple of years ago and when I saw it pop up in the ETS Racerback Tank Top, I had to get it since I wear the ETS Tank for almost all my workouts. I'm wearing my usual size 6. I did notice this version is cut slightly narrower in the chest than my other ETS Crop Tank Tops and it has a slightly lower arm hole as well, so there is potential side boobage. I'm mostly flat, so it's not too apparent. However, the shelf bra fits the same as my other ETS Tanks. That said, it's very comfortable and I absolutely love the rainbow edition. I took the tags off immediately even with the higher price tag. This beauty will set you back $78. More if you have to pay tax on it. The rainbow just does it for me completely, which makes it worth it to me.

I'm still currently going into the office three times a week. I've been slowly replacing my work pants with more comfortable work pants. 😅 I'm basically trying to see how far I can push the envelope with wearing pants that look professional but still feel like pajamas or sweatpants. After some research I can across a pair of pintuck sweatpants from J.Crew Factory for $39.50. For that price, why not? I ordered my usual Petite XS and the length is perfect. The inseam measures 24 inches. These are very stretchy, and if you're not sure what size to get, I would say you can safely size down. When I first tried them straight out of the packaging, they felt fairly snug, but after 15 minutes it loosened up and were very comfortable, like extremely comfortable. The weight of the fabric is medium thickness, probably good for mild temperatures and slightly too warm for summer weather.

I actually just ordered a second pair in Cypress that's more office friendly.
The waistband is elastic and sits underneath my belly button. The back of the waistband has a small imperfection, but I'll be wearing this with longer cardigans and blazers and it doesn't bother me enough to exchange it for a different pair. I wish they had these pants in any shade of gray, I would buy it in a second because they are that comfortable. Actually, they do come in Heather Charcoal, just not available in petite sizing. These pants also come in navy and a deep green. I can't wait to wear my black pair to the office this week!
The wrinkle in the waistband can be seen in the photo below on the left side. One other thing I would like to mention, they do attract pet hair like crazy. Since I"ll be mainly wearing them to the office, it should be fine, but it's something to keep in mind! You can see some of Flash's fur already sticking to the pants. 😹
That's it for me! Hope you all have a fabulous start to another new week! Let's make it a good one. 😊

That tank is so pretty! I had the Swiftly Tank but sold it a while ago because it was too long, and I refuse to crop Swiftlys. I love the text at the bottom and have not once had a good hemming experience. I wish it had a white base instead of black but still love the rainbow. If it releases in a Swiftly LS Race, I would buy.
ReplyDeleteHi LZ! I am actually debating selling the Swiftly now that I have the ETS Tank. I do have the same issue with it being too long and bunching around the tummy. I am not a fan of hemming either. Hopefully they'll release it in the LS Race for you!
DeleteThe tank is really pretty! I love my Swiftly LS and wear it quite often in cooler weather. I’ve had bad experience with LLL heming my groove pants years ago. They cut the legs too short and just attached an extra fabric to the back to extend the length! LLL finally refunded me but I was upset cos it was a special knit which I really loved. I actually paid to have my LLL pants hemmed by a professional seamstress after that incident. :(
ReplyDeleteThe J Crew pants are nice on you and the length is perfect too. I’m still in search of a nice pair of pants since LLL is not bringing back my favorite On the Fly Pants 7/8. I want something that can be dressed up or down.
Andrea
Hi Andrea, that's awful what happened to your Groove pants. I kind of fear that too. But with Athleta, I almost never buy Lulu pants anymore, but the Softstreme Crops are pretty amazing. I would definitely buy more of those.
Deletehi Leslie! The J.Crew Pintuck Sweatpants look polished and can pass as work pants! The ETS tank in Rainbow looks nice! I wish the side coverage was better though.
ReplyDeleteHi Karen! Thank you! I was surprised at the side coverage. I wonder why they changed it for this one.
DeleteThat ETS tank is very pretty! I love those black pants on you. They look like they can be dressed up easily too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Janessa! I am a sucker for the Rainbow colors. I wore the pants at work this week and love them too.
