Fit Review Friday! Swiftly Love Edition Racerback and Short Sleeve + WMTM Update!

Happy Friday! Even though I just came back from a long weekend I still feel like I need a couple more days off. 😅 It also doesn't help that I just got over the worst allergy attack I've ever had since moving to Atlanta. I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy.

I have some photos of the very popular Swiftly Love variation. It's mostly sold out now so this post is for documentary purposes. There have been restocks, so keep checking if you do want one.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 and typically a size 4 in Lululemon tops. For the Swiftly Short Sleeve, I now need a size 6 because of my growing shoulders! 😃

Also don't forget to participate in my little giveaway! I don't want you guys to miss out a chance to win a $100 Lululemon gift card. There's still 4 days left!

Swiftly Short Sleeve Love Black/Rainbow Size 6

Have you noticed I got a haircut? My hair was so long, it was driving me crazy. I'm still not willing to go to my hairdresser so I just had my husband cut it off. It can use some finishing touches that only a hair stylist can provide, but otherwise it's not bad. I'm so much happier with shorter hair! I typically don't go this short, but I'm fine with it since no one is really going to see me anyway.

Back to the Swiftly. The size 6 fits me really nicely in the shoulders. I don't mind the looser fit in the body, I prefer it over fitted these days. The caveat of going up a size is the length of the body also gets longer by at least an inch. To remedy this I fold the bottom up underneath and tuck into my joggers. (I'm wearing Vuori Joggers by the way- size XS.) It works well my sweatpants and joggers. Not so much for high waisted leggings though! This version is probably my favorite Swiftly. I just love anything rainbow.

The Lululemon logo is also really subtle. I wanted a rainbow Swiftly for so long, and was so stoked when this popped up. I also love the messages underneath the hemline, it's another reason why I won't shorten a Swiftly. I wouldn't want to lose these messages. It's all in the details!

When I saw the racerback version on WMTM last week, I had to grab one too. For the Swiftly Racerback I kept with my usual size 4.

Swiftly Racerback Love Black Rainbow Size 4

My shoulders really have widened, especially when I flex! #FlexFriday 😂

That's it for me! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Here's what's newly added.

(Tons of colors and sizes!)

(This fits true to size and is my personal favorite, but it's still pretty expensive! 😫)

(I kind of want this too but I need a size 6 now, The 6 fits big on me overall, but at least the shoulders and back are way more comfortable than the 4. I'll have a review up soon. Oversized look is in, which is how I justify it these days!)

  1. I was surprised going to your blog and found a new post! Isn’t today Thursday? Looks like you’re getting the days confused working from home for too long LOL!

I love your new hairstyle! Your husband did an amazing job! I had my husband cut my hair in the back and I did the front. Not too impressed I’m afraid!

Back to the review, I love the Black Love/Rainbow knit! How could I miss it? I only have two Swiftly L/S and had to size up to a 4 cos the sleeves were so tight. Do you find the tank and S/S TTS? By the way, do you prefer Swiftly Tank or Cool Racer Back II (TTS or size up?)? I’m thinking of getting a couple tanks. Would appreciate your input. Thanks!

    1. Hi Andrea! You're here too early hahaha. I usually post around 10 pm eastern time, but I had it ready so thought I would just hit the publish button!

Thank you!!! He did a nice job considering it was his first time. He said he watched a video on youtube. =D I asked him if it helped much and he said just the part about using the scissors to line up a straight cut. LOL

I did find the Swiftly Racerback Tank to be true to size. I sized up in the short sleeve because of my last purchase in the size 4 was way too tight in the shoulders and back. I guess I now need a size 6. I used to fit in the size 4, but this is a few years ago.

I haven't tried a Cool Racerback II in while. But I did purchase a few in the size 4. I prefer the Swiftly because they're not as form fitting. I think the CRBs are very slim cut. But it has been awhile. Maybe I need to try one again? I also recall the CRBs to be super long. They would bunch up around my waist quite a bit.

    2. Thanks for the advice, Leslie! You’re right that the Cool Racer Back is very long (I only have one in the old version though) and shows every lumps and bumps! :D. Might give the Swiftly Tank a try if a nice color comes up! Thanks again!

  2. I love the haircut! love it. You should keep it. What exercises are you doing that made your back and shoulders wider?

    1. Thanks! I think I will keep the haircut. =)

I'm not sure I could pin it down to any particular exercises, but I do increase the weights as much as I can for each round. I've been following Alexia Clark's workouts for almost 3 years now? It's been a slow growth for me but she has some serious upper body workouts. Check out her Instagram, she shows a lot of her exercises in her posts and stories. But if I really had to think about it, I would guess dumbbell shoulder press variations and chest presses probably contributes to my growth the most?

  3. I'm wearing my rainbow Swiftly tank now! I love the color way, but this is my first 2.0, and sadly I don't love it. I much prefer the original version.

By the way, did you notice the tank is now $58?? It looks like it's sold out again, but this morning sizes 2/4 were in stock. Lulufanatics shows the price change. I knew someone made a booboo last week!

  5. #FlexFriday, haha, love it! Your back looks amazing. I bought the love tank in size 6. I have not cut the tag yet since I prefer the original fit. I am interested in the LS when it comes out online. I get the most use out of LS because of where I live.

Andrea, I sold most of my original CRBs since they were very long and the neckline was too low on me. I have one CRB II in Luon size 4, which is shorter and neckline is higher. I really like it. I have one CRB II in Nulu in size 6. It is super soft, but fits very slim. I think it depends on what activities that you do in them. For me, CRB Nulu for casual wear and Swiftly for working out.

    1. Thanks for your advice, Amherstlulu! I have one of the original CRB and like you said, I find the neckline too low. I’m in between sizes for tops and probably that size 4 CRB is slightly too big for me, I heard that the CRB II has a higher neckline and is tempted to give it a try. The Diamond Dye ones are really pretty! :)

    2. Ah I guess I am one of the few that like the new Swiftly. I don't mind the new fit? I may have to try a CRB II in Nulu. It sounds comfy. I'll probably need a 6 too. I do remember the older versions where the neckline was too low. I think that's the main reason I got rid of them all.

    3. I just ordered a CRB II n Nulu to try in size 6. Hopefully it works out. I have a feeling it will be too long still.

    4. Did you order one in the Diamond Dye Graphite Grey Pink Pastel print? :). I can decide between this and the Game Day Dark Chrome Black Multi ...

    5. You know it!! LOL. It may be the only piece I end up with in that print...

    6. I’m sure you’ll love the print LOL! Not a green person but the Diamond Dye Graphite Grey Bronze Green looks really nice.

Can’t wait to read your fit review!

  6. I have a few of the CRBs in Nulu and really like them. I purchase my usual size and am happy with the fit. I love the soft material and don’t find them to be too long, I wear them for MMA and they don’t ride up on me which is great.

    1. That's awesome! I am hoping it won't be too long on me. I recall the 4s being pretty fitted so that's why I decided to go with a 6 this time.

  7. That swiftly love is so beautiful! The colors are way more wearable than I thought and muted from afar. I like your short hair! I haven't had short hair in a while but when I did I thought I'd never grow my hair long again because it felt soo free.

We tried HelloFresh for the past two months - Here's our review

Hi everyone! This post is written by my husband. Some of you may know he does all the cooking around here. 😅 We noticed we were spending a lot of money on food and eating out every month and wanted to see if a meal kit service would save us money and time. After looking at a few meal kit services we settled on HelloFresh. Without further ado, here's Jared's review. (Original post date Aug 2022). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As you may have seen from Leslie's Instagram stories for the past 2 months, we've been using HelloFresh for most of our meals. The main drivers for this were to better track what we eat and because on the advice of my doctor, I should be eating more home cooked meals. Before I go any further, it should be noted that my original career path was in culinary arts, but twists and turns in life changed that. So I do have formal cooking experience. A little background story. Over the years, I've developed
