This drop wasn't very exciting at all. I think the items mostly likely to sell out are the new colors in Everywhere Belt Bag and Everywhere Crossbody Bag. I have got to run, but if there's anything else updated later tonight, I'll edit the post. So far, nothing for me! If this continues, I might have to start posting Athleta's new arrivals... they seem more exciting?! Let me know what you guys think!

(I love the color Dusk Violet, so I ordered these as soon as they came out, but I have bad news to report. They changed the fit completely from the pair I bought two years ago. The waist is much smaller, the length is about an inch longer and the pant leg is much wider. Afraid to size up because it may be too wide everywhere else. I'm very disappointed because the color is amazing!)
(Have a feeling the petite length will be too long considering the regular length is 30.5")
(This is a gorgeous looking dress, but would probably drag on the floor on me. 😓)

ReplyDeleteI did get my Loungeful hoodie today, I decided to go up a size since I like my hoodies looser. I’m undecided about how I feel about it so far. The material is similar to the Scuba but the sleeve cuffs are a little stiff and tight and the cut is a little on the boxy side. Guess I’m stuck with it as it was on markdown, it is soft and cozy and the hood doesn’t pull down on my neck as much as I thought it would so I’d say it was worth it on sale.

DeleteGot my Athleta Seasoft Quarter Zip. I got the black color and went with my usual size. It’s a bit too cropped for my usual liking but I like everything else about it. I appreciate Athleta’s return policy for things like this, plenty of time to decide if it’s a keeper!
DeleteI'm surprised it's cropped. It doesn't look cropped at all in the photos, and I assumed it would be longer on a petite frame since the models are usually a foot taller. Now I'm curious and will have to order it myself to try! I can't decide if I want it in black or Tinsel Purple...
DeleteI know! I’m tired of the cropped styles, and it definitely did not look cropped on the model so I was surprised at it too. When I lifted my arms I saw how much of my stomach would be exposed! Not that I walk around with my arms up constantly (LOL), but still. I’d have to wear a cami under it or something.

DeleteAthleta’s stuff is cuter, they’ve got more options for casual (not workout) wear, and they carry so many options in petite lengths. (Plus tall but those people probably read other blogs.) So go ahead and show us your Athleta picks more often.

DeleteI used to wait anxiously for LLL’s weekly uploads but now I don’t really care much. This is another boring upload.
ReplyDeleteI was going through my wardrobe and honestly LLL stuff from years ago are way more interesting than the new ones. They used to make nice tank tops like Push your Limits Tank, Scoop Neck Tank and No Limits Tank etc but now all they offer are basic racer back tanks where you can find elsewhere at much cheaper prices. I miss the special details which make LLL clothes unique.
I would be interested in posts on Athleta uploads and more fit reviews of other brands. Thank you!

hi Leslie, I think the Tree Dashers Relay are a little roomier because there are no shoe laces. The size difference is minimal though and I'm happy with size 7 in both.

Hi Leslie! I agree with everyone that Lulu is getting boring and posting Athleta new arrivals will be a nice addition to the blog. Athleta pieces are taking up more space in my closet these days with a new store 10 min away and an Athleta credit card burning a hole in my wallet.

DeleteNothing for me! I got more clearance items on Aritzia... I got two Athleta pieces (don't normally shop there) this past few months and really like them. The Elation Flare Pants you reviewed and a black tank with nulu-like fabric on clearance. LLL plays too many games, releasing such limited items in popular things like shorts and making things look like they sell out and I'm tired of bothering with the restocks. Maybe they are really selling out but that plus the price hikes have turned me away

DeleteI agree with everyone - I'd love to see some Athleta new arrivals posts also! With the exception of a couple of items here and there, the Lulu uploads have become so repetitive! The only things that seems to change lately are the price increases. And, frankly, their stubborn refusal to give us some petite sizing ticks me off!

I feel the same. I do like to look at other brands and occasionally, I'll buy a legging with a cute print or a top in a fun color from another brand, but I usually find that I don't like it as much as my Lulu. I always come back to Lulu as my go to. I agree the price hikes keep me from buying sometimes, but it does help me be more selective in my purchases. I also agree they've lost a lot of the special details that made them the must-have brand, but for me, their material and fit can't be beat. The only thing I've seen come close to what I like is Athleta's salutation line. That being said, I do enjoy random pieces here and there from Athleta, so I'd be interested to see some of your picks from that brand as well as Lulu. Athleta's used to make the most beautiful sweaters, their special details have also lessened over the years. It could just be the style right now though. Lots of companies are churning out really plain, boxy, unisex styles. It may come back around to the detailed, fitted stuff being on trend.
DeleteHi Blueberries - for sure the prices aren't that much different but Athleta's return policy is hard to beat. They also offer 20% off coupons pretty regularly. Their return policy - fantastic. You can try the items and if it doesn't work out for you, you can return them. For sale items, you can also return. It's only final sale when it's marked down A LOT.
DeleteI don't think I saw the Briar Rose on the US site. I would be tempted by that color...Pink Clay is turning out to be one of my favorite colors.
Anonymous- I do think Lulu has amazing quality. No denying that. But their drops have been quite disappointing for awhile. Also, Athleta has petite options and that goes a long way for someone who is 4 feet 11! I do think Athleta has been giving Lulu a run for their money lately.

DeleteProblem with Lululemon some of us have been oversaturated with different styles and colors. Difficult for the brand to reinvent itself to something that we can assuredly put down the high prices they charge.
ReplyDeleteBeing worldwide brand they are late to the party often for seasonal items. While this supply limit items that sell out quickly either underestimating the demand or just enhance luxury brand further.
Poolside in fast & free 25" in the photo appears dull compared to previous align nulu fabric. This is all marketing to sell one item over the other. Nulux fabric sheen is much brighter but better bright color often come out later after the first wave items are sold.
Rover is nice color wish they came in singlet running tops would compliment many of my dupe pastel bottoms. Lol... Always count on Lululemon for different color, hues that can be effective outfit.
Dusk violet resembles smoked mulberry aligns i own and worn so much.
Love red vivid plum are bright colors that is for sure. Vivid plum reminds me of tracker shorts and cool racerback i bought few years ago. Yet in align style tempting to purchase but dupes can be found in similar colors without the higher price.
No limits white Multi speed up shorts looks good to use for tropical holiday vacation. Not item i would wear, no doubt going to the WMTM by August.

Lululemon has fast & free caps waited way too long for purchasing ultimately sell out the color i was intrigued. Yellow or red.
Been adidas climalite fan purchaser they do the job for fraction of the cost lululemon baller hats or fast & free caps.
Adidas blue rush looks like nice beach hat. Only need match it with my bottoms. Lol..

Hi Mack! It is interesting that Lulu plays these games of releasing better colors in later batches. I guess some of us are tired of it all! But can't blame them, it's all about the shareholders money. Love Red and Vivid Plum are really bright and makes me wonder how much of it is bumped up in contrast. Maybe they are not as bright in person?
