Just in! Sunseeker Collection - Tree Dasher Relay in Blizzard Teal/Purple Sole

I so wasn't planning on writing another Allbirds post so soon, but I was so excited to receive these over the weekend that I had to write about them! The colors on the midsole are so gorgeous. The dark teal blends into the most gorgeous purple. Could not be more stoked to wear these out. If you have matching ankle socks for either color, it just brings it all together. Absolutely love them.

For reference I wear size 5.5 in Allbirds and purchased these in 5.5 as well. They do fit slightly ever smaller but feel fine with thinner socks. I am hoping they stretch out a little with wear.

I do think Tree Dasher Relays are my favorite Allbirds shoe right now. Followed closely by Tree Dasher 2.  I also just purchased the Tree Flyers last month and really like them for running but they do fit slightly large. If they did fit me perfectly, I could see myself liking them a lot more.

What I love about the Dasher Relays is how seamless they are. No laces to mess around with. Easy on and easy off. Very comfortable for everyday walking. I could even casually jog/run in these if I wanted to.

The soles have not been upgraded and are the same soles from the original Tree Dasher 1. I would think Allbirds will eventually upgrade the soles similar to the Tree Dasher 2, but once they do that, I would expect the price to go up. As of right now, they are $135 which is on the pricier side for Allbirds.

That midsole is everything! 😍

Close up of the weave, you can see blue and purple.

They do not disappoint! Not even a little bit.  However, my husband is getting a little annoyed with my growing Allbirds collection. 😕 I need to donate a few, It's starting to get out of hand! Here are my three pairs of Dasher Relays. Sesame, Blizzard, and Blizzard Teal/Purple Sole. I need to throw the first two in the wash. They're starting to look a little dirty. I wish I had bought the black pair instead of the Blizzard with the black sole. Sigh... first world problems, I know!

If you bought a pair, let me know what you think! That's it for me, hope you all have a great start to a new week!

  1. Hi Leslie,
I really love my first pair of Tree Dashers Relay in Blizzard with the beautiful teal/purple sole. The tighter fit bothers me a little bit cos I'll need to find thinner socks or wear them barefooted. Other than that, they are perfect and make me happy wearing them! :D

By the way, are you wearing Allbirds' Trino Sprinters Low socks in the pictures? How do you like them? Kind of pricey and not sure if they are worth it.

    1. hi Andrea, I'm typically size 6.5 in Nike shoes, but I found 6.5 in the Tree Dashers 2 to be a little tight, especially in the toe box. I ended up exchanging for size 7 and they're perfect. The half size up is only a little bigger, but makes the shoes much more comfortable. If the Tree Dashers Relay feel a little tight, may be you can consider returning for a half size bigger?

    2. Hi Andrea, I second Karen's comment, if it's really bothering you, definitely try a half size larger. At least you'll know for sure which one you prefer.

The socks I'm wearing are older from New Balance. I did try the Trino Sprinters, the first pair I received fit perfectly, and love them. Ordered another pair and they were larger even though the size was the same. I have very small feet so there was too much extra heel fabric for me to wear so I gave them to my sister. I'm a little weary of buying another one - cuz I don't know if it will be too big again. But I love the pair that fits perfectly! It is expensive though for one sock. Wish Allbirds affiliate would expand to Canada and you could get a pair for free...

    3. Thanks, Karen, for your suggestion! I’m just worried that the shoes might be too long if I size up half a size. :(

I hope to hear from you after you’ve received your Tree Dashers Relay!

Thanks, Leslie, for your comments on the socks. I need to hunt for some nice thin ones. :)

  2. hi Leslie! Thanks for sharing so many detailed pics! The colours are absolutely gorgeous! I can't wait to receive my pair!

By the way, did you know that All Birds has a trade-in program in the US? For each pair of used shoes in good condition, they give you $20 credit towards any new purchase at Allbirds. If you were planning on donating some old shoes, may be it's worth checking out?

I hope Simi will have better appetite soon! Have a good week!

    1. Hi Karen! I did check out the trade-in program. Unfortunately it's only for participating locations. There isn't one near me and they do not accept mail in shoes. Which I understand because then they would be getting a million pairs in the mail. Might just donate them to a local pet charity place that sells second hand goods.

Appreciate the Simi well wishes! =)

  3. Those are sooo pretty! If they also had pink swirled in, I would be a goner. I'm really trying to get my sneaker collection under control. If I like something, I tend to feel the need to have it in multiple colors, but I'd really like to work to minimize my collection. My Adizeros are my only runners, for now. Just one is fine...I keep telling myself. :)

  4. That color combo is so eyecatching and amazing! I've been wearing my AllBirds Sugar Sliders a lot and they're still great. I realize I don't like walking in sandals because they flop and my feet sort of trudge unless I really pick them up... I appreciate the velcro strap because tightening the top keeps the sandals on my feet better without socks! I think I will stick to shoes for walking and use my sandals for mostly quick trips or in the backyard

    1. Hi Janessa! I bought a pair of the Sugar Slides and wear them as house slippers! Super comfy and I wear them barefoot and with socks.

      Glad you are enjoying them!

    2. What color sugar sliders did you get? I'm considering them a fun color. I love pink, but I often find pink shoes had to match with outfits, since I tend to wear lots of pinks. I'm thinking the lime green would be fun and would match a lot of my usual bright colors.

Also, did you find the sugar sliders TTS?

    3. I bought the white Sugar Sliders. The pink ones are actually pretty cute, I wish they did a nice purple or blue! I think they run big. I got them in a size 5, usually I'm a 5.5. My husband bought a pair too and he sized down a whole size.

  5. Ooh, the white is nice too! Thanks for the tip on sizing!

We tried HelloFresh for the past two months - Here's our review

Hi everyone! This post is written by my husband. Some of you may know he does all the cooking around here. 😅 We noticed we were spending a lot of money on food and eating out every month and wanted to see if a meal kit service would save us money and time. After looking at a few meal kit services we settled on HelloFresh. Without further ado, here's Jared's review. (Original post date Aug 2022). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As you may have seen from Leslie's Instagram stories for the past 2 months, we've been using HelloFresh for most of our meals. The main drivers for this were to better track what we eat and because on the advice of my doctor, I should be eating more home cooked meals. Before I go any further, it should be noted that my original career path was in culinary arts, but twists and turns in life changed that. So I do have formal cooking experience. A little background story. Over the years, I've developed
