Review! Allbirds Tree Dasher Relay in Blizzard!

How is everyone doing? It's mid-May and I'm planning on launching some giveaways starting in June. So keep an eye out for updates! You all know I love my Allbirds. When the Tree Dasher Relay came back in stock, I decided I definitely needed to get another pair. The pair I purchased last year in Sesame (link to my review) - is starting to show some wear. It's one of my most reached for Allbirds because I love that there's no laces to tie! (Yes, I can be that lazy.)

 Initial reaction and first impressions.

Tree Dasher Relay Blizzard Size 5.5

The Tree Dasher Relay fits the same as Tree Dashers. I'm wearing size 5.5 and these are true to size. I can't tell you how happy I am to see these back in stock. I really hope Allbirds keeps these around and offers them in more colors.

I am SO tempted to get them in black as well and get me some red ankle socks. The combination looks so good together. I'm already thinking about an outfit with my Dark Red Everywhere Belt Bag. 😍

Let's take a look at the details of these Tree Dasher Relays. I really love the minimalist design. Super simple with a contrasting sole. The little extra wave added on the sole is a nice touch. These shoes are seamless which I really love. No tongue or laces to mess around with. There is a pull tab in the front of the shoe. Just slip them on and you're good to go.

These are the best cushioned lifestyle shoe I've ever had. I would not use these for running, since the fit isn't too snug but it's fine for everyday wear. I think for running I would prefer laces to tighten as needed. This is best for walking, I can definitely walk over 5 miles in these.

The Allbirds logo is reflective.

They're $135 but worth it. Do I get them in black as well? 😅 Let me know what you think. That's it for me and I hope everyone has an awesome start to another week.

I've partnered up with Allbirds! Click on my link for a free pair of Trino socks with your purchase of shoes or apparel. Offer will automatically be applied at checkout if socks are added to your cart. Offer valid while supplies last.

  1. I too love the Tree Dasher Relays! I prefer them to the regular Tree Dashers because I can never get those fat laces on the Dashers to stay tight anyway! I don't see the Relays on the Canadian website though....maybe they're still coming? If they release them in that Lux Purple color, I'm in trouble :)

Meanwhile, I've been considering getting a pair of the new Trail Runners. They look like they'd be good dog-walking shoes. Have you tried a pair yet? Would love to hear your thoughts on them if you have.

    1. I am curious about the fit of the Trail Runners as well! And yes, I’ll be in big trouble if the Tree Dasher Relays come in purple!

    2. Hi Lola and Andrea! Ohhh didn't know Canada didn't get the Relays yet. Hopefully soon? I might get the black if they do not release more colors!

I actually did get a pair of the Trail Runners! I got size 5.5 and they fit well! I will definitely review them, it's on the list. =D

  2. hi Leslie! Thanks for the fit review! The Tree Dasher Relay looks good! I like the black ones and hope they come to Canada. I'm lazy with shoe laces too! Am I the only one who leaves the shoe laces tied and just step into my runners? That what I do with my wool runner mizzles. Hee hee! I look forward to your review on the Trail Runners!

    1. I do that all the time!! I tie them so they're not too tight but tight enough that I can still slip my feet in. Some of the other brands I am not able to do so, which makes me wear them less.

    2. hee hee! I knew I wasn't the only one who does this!

  3. I love that white color with the grey sole. I definitely think it's worth getting in black. Black matches everything and you wear this style all the time!

    1. Eeps! I guess I know what I'm getting next. I actually do not have a black pair of Allbirds now that I think about it!

  4. I have both the black and sesame relays from the first release and love them both. You definitely need black! I also got the new white ones (I’m a 5.5, too) and love those as well. I haven’t tried the new Flyers yet but I’m curious about the fit. Will probably head to the store to try them on. Go order the black ones now… and the red socks!

We tried HelloFresh for the past two months - Here's our review

Hi everyone! This post is written by my husband. Some of you may know he does all the cooking around here. 😅 We noticed we were spending a lot of money on food and eating out every month and wanted to see if a meal kit service would save us money and time. After looking at a few meal kit services we settled on HelloFresh. Without further ado, here's Jared's review. (Original post date Aug 2022). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As you may have seen from Leslie's Instagram stories for the past 2 months, we've been using HelloFresh for most of our meals. The main drivers for this were to better track what we eat and because on the advice of my doctor, I should be eating more home cooked meals. Before I go any further, it should be noted that my original career path was in culinary arts, but twists and turns in life changed that. So I do have formal cooking experience. A little background story. Over the years, I've developed
