Happy Friday! I've got two new items up for review and both are fit requests. I do have one more item coming in, the Repell Shell Classic Fit Hoodie in Blazer Blue Tone. I also ordered the Loungeful Cropped Hoodie and Loungeful Zip Hoodie as well.
For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically a size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.

I'm wearing my usual size 4 and I do think this jacket runs slightly large. I could have sized down in this and it would have made the jacket a little less tent like from the side. There is quite a bit of volume below the waist, but the fabric is so thin it's quite airy. However, if you want to be able to layer underneath, I would definitely stick with your regular size.
I kind of do like the silhouette from the back. It's an interesting shape and great for warm weather. When I placed this order, Vintage Plum was sold out in my size, but looks like they just restocked. This jacket is meant to be worn casually, not for working out. I like that the hood will keep you covered in the rain and overall this piece is quite petite friendly. The sleeves length is slightly long, but not awful. The length of the jacket hits low hip.
I read some of the reviews for this jacket and a few complained about the zipper. I did not have an issue with it. I will say the teeth on the zipper are small, but it did not seem delicate. The zipper pull is also smaller than what we're used to seeing from Lululemon, but nothing that made me do a double take.
The price is $148. I think I would consider purchasing this if it hits WMTM. BTW, I really like mixing my Lulu with Aviator Nation these days. 😊

These culottes are currently on WMTM for $89. I'm wearing my usual size 4 in bottoms. It is true to size. The fabric is Softstreme and I love the fuzzy peach feel. The fabric seems thick, and it does not seem to have the nice drape that I expected. Maybe the seam down the front prevents this. The length measures 22 inches long on the size 4. There are two side pockets and at times it does stick out a little bit. Sometimes if it's very noticeable, it's a deal breaker for me. Here on these pants, it's just slightly noticeable.

Overall I prefer Athleta's Seasoft Straight Pant (my review) and if you're willing to shell out a little more money, the Alicia Keys Seasoft Wide Leg Pant in Smoked Almond Brown looks extra luxe. Keep in mind the inseam measures 31.5 inches and if you're petite they will need to be hemmed. That's it for me! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! See you in May! 😜

My SO is really into disc golf, so we spend a lot of time outside in the summer. I'm on the hunt for more super lightweight jackets I can throw on to protect my fair skin. I'm not sure about the cut and style of this one for me, though. My favs so far are the Lab Noir II Jacket and Kicking Asphalt Jacket. Thank you for the review of the Softstreme Culottes! As soon as I saw them on WMTM I snapped them up in White Opal. I'm very happy with them! I really like how you paired them with the Aviator Nation Tee - it's a chic casual outfit :)

ReplyDeleteHave you tried the LA Barrel Leg pants? I ordered them on a whim, figured I could return if they were terrible. And I actually love them. I am 5’0” and I feel like they are a tad long, but I cuffed them (to the inside) and they look fine. The material is not as soft as the softstreme, but it is a little heavier and I feel like they will be amazing for traveling. I think the barrel leg is kind of a preference look though. You either feel like it looks weird on you, or you just don’t care. Obviously I’m of the latter group. 😂
