Happy Friday! Do you guys notice anything different on my site? I've got a new logo! My husband designed it for me. I think it definitely suits me well. It's feminine but strong. Petite, but packs a punch!
I'm just going to jump right into this fit review. Vuori released a new version of their best selling Performance Joggers in ribbed fabric. Of course, I had to try them.
For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size XS in Vuori bottoms. Also wear size 4 in Lululemon and PXS/Petite 0 in Athleta.
I ordered these in two colors to try. This pair is called Quartz Heather and in person it the color is a very dark purple shade, almost borderline brown. I'm wearing my usual size XS and these feel just slightly larger than the Performance Jogger. I laid out the two on top of one another and sure enough the Lux Rib Performance Jogger is a half inch bigger all around. The cut is the same, they just run slightly larger. Is it enough to size down? Possibly, if you prefer a slim fit jogger. If you prefer a looser fit- stick to your usual size. I myself think it looks fine but could probably fit the XXS as well.
The fabric is soft and silky, but there is a ribbed texture to it. I showed it to my husband and he commented that it looks like it could be fine corduroy. These joggers are also two-tone with a darker waistband. These fit and feel just as comfortable as the original DreamKnit version.
The waistband is super stretchy which is why I do think I will try size XXS next. You can really see the ribbing in the close up of the Heather Gray. Between the two colors, I prefer the Heather Gray. No surprise there! I think they look more sporty with the contrasting waistband. The length measures 25 inches which is the same inseam as the Performance Jogger.
There is a third color called Desert Rose Heather and looks to be a pretty cranberry shade. Overall, I'm a fan of these and hope to see more colors released in this new fabric. That's it for me and hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

I love your new logo especially the mini dumbbell! :)
ReplyDeleteThe joggers fit really nice on you. Both colors are pretty but I wish the purple was more vibrant. It’s a tad too dark for my liking.
I wasn’t a jogger person but have found myself wearing them a lot during the pandemic. I’ve been thinking of trying a pair of Athleta jogger (I only have their Studio Joggers which are more fancy) but they have way too many choices. I read your reviews but still couldn’t make a decision. @_@
Thanks Andrea!! The mini dumbbell is the best part!
DeleteHaha, yes Athleta makes a ton of joggers, I'm sure you will find one that you like, but only solution is to try them all and pick your favorite one! =D
Great suggestion LOL!
DeleteWith the pandemic, I hate to return anything. Last time when I returned the Athleta Studio Pants in regular length it took over three weeks (normally a week). Don’t even ask me about Lululemon. In early November I sent in an email asking for a Canada Post return label (you can only generate FedEx ones on LLL’s website) I got the following email reply
“ Thanks for reaching out to us here at lululemon's Guest Education Centre (GEC).
We’re temporarily pausing on reviewing online Performance Returns until February 2022. While we know this isn’t ideal, we want to make sure our people are available for time sensitive questions during the busiest time of the year.
If your request was submitted on or before November 10, we’ll continue to review your submission and will get back to you in 15-20 business days. If you’ve already received a response from us, please continue using that email thread.
If your request was submitted after November 10, you can expect an update in January 2022—be on the lookout for more information coming your way. PS: you won’t need to submit a new request. When we resume, we’ll pick up right where we left off. ”
I ended up returning the item to a store, :(
I hear you Andrea. I usually voiding shipping any returns during the holiday season, but find that by February shipping is usually back to normal and shouldn't take too long. The returns are faster for Lululemon vs Athleta. Lululemon usually takes at most 2 weeks. Athleta can take about a month. Because of that if I can, I usually try and return Athleta items at the store, they give a big return window- 60 days.
DeleteBut wow that is some reply from Lulu. I've been taking the items back to the store during the holiday season. Didn't even know they did this!
hi Leslie! Nice logo! I like the dumb bell too! Also, the colour of the word "petite" is the kinda purple/plum shade that you tend to gravitate towards!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the fit review of the Lux Rib Performance jogger! They look great on you! I like the relaxed fit and the ribbed texture! Have a great weekend!
Thanks Karen! Yes I wanted some part of the logo to have purple in it. Some of the earlier drafts had it looking a little too pink.
DeleteThe joggers are definitely easy to wear! Enjoy the weekend.
I like the heather grey the best bc it shows off the rib detailing! So cute
ReplyDeleteAgreed Janessa! Although I do want to see the Cranberry color in person too.
