I can't believe it's the middle of November! By the way, I'm curious what the work situation is for you guys. Are you still working from home? Is it a hybrid situation? Or are you back at the office full time? My current situation is still 100% working remotely from home, but I do think I'll be heading back to the office soon though. My guess is early next year. I'm not 100% sure if I'll be in a hybrid situation or if I'm expected to go back full time. I will be finding out soon. Let me know if you would like to see some reviews of office friendly pieces. I have not touched my work wardrobe in almost two years, so I'm pretty sure I'll need to update a few items.
Last month I reviewed the Wunder Puff Crop Vest and ultimately returned it even though I loved the color and how soft it was. I wanted to see how Aritzia's vests compared to Lululemon.
For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and wearing size 2XS or XS in Aritzia. I typically wear size 4 in Lululemon tops. For the Wunder Puff Crop Vest I sized down.
As you know I am a sucker for iridescent colors, and since I already have the
Super Puff Shorty in Iridescent Mulberry, I went for Iridescent Purple Rain. The color is barely iridescent. It's actually very subtle. More subtle than I'd like, but it is still a very pretty shade of lilac/gray.
Pockets have snaps and there is a drawcord at the hem of the jacket to customize your fit.
The Super Puff Vest has a very different feel than the Wunder Puff Vest. The main difference is how hardy it seems whereas the Wunder Puff Vest is super soft and plushy like a down feather pillow. The Super Puff feels more like a bubble. Still squishy but hardier if that makes sense. I also like the fact that it doesn't have the flap on the sides when left unzipped. That kind of bugged me a little about the Wunder Puff style. The Super Puff has a cleaner silhouette. The cone shaped hood on the Super Puff Vest does stick out but I think it's because I didn't flatten it. I'm assuming it will flatten over time with some use.
Also wearing my Aviator Nation Hoodie underneath.
This vest does have some extras like an inside zipped pocket. The hood is also removable if you wish. This is true to size, I am wearing the same size as my Super Puff Shorty. There's enough room to layer a hoodie underneath. It's a very comfortable vest and well made. It has 700+ fill goose down. For closure you have the option of zipper and snaps for extra protection. There is also a drawcord for the hood. This is a cute little vest that packs a punch! The price is just a little bit less than Lululemon's Wunder Puff Vest. $198 vs $225.
The New Little Puff Vest also caught my eye. It is not offered in any iridescent colors much to my dismay, but the Total Eclipse navy shade is a pretty safe bet and very easy to pair with my wardrobe. Many of the reviews said to size down. I am wearing size 2XS and I think it's a perfect fit.
This vest is ultra light and packable. Contains 700+ Goose Down fill and reminds me of the same soft feel of Lululemon's Wunder Puff Vest but on a much slimmer scale. The one downside is the hood is not removable, but for $88 I guess that's fine? The hem has an elastic to keep the wind out. There isn't a drawcord to customize so unfortunately if it's too tight or too loose, there is no way to adjust it.
Still wearing my Aviator Nation hoodie underneath so I've got two hoods up over my head. Does that look weird? It felt fine though! I do like this look a lot, so I decided to keep this vest to experiment with. For $88 it won't break the bank account and I can play around and see if I can incorporate this vest into my outfits. Sometimes I feel like a vest is more for fashion instead of being practical to wear. I guess I'll find out soon enough!
This interior pocket is how you can pack it down into a tiny square. I have not tried doing it, and probably won't ever to be honest! But it is good to know you can do that if you need to for some reason. 😆 This only has a zipper option, no snaps. The hood does not have a drawcord. Again for $88 I can't complain!
I am a fan of Aritzia and especially love their outerwear. Last year I reviewed
The Super Puff Shorty and The Little Fuzzy Puff and ended up keeping both pieces. That's it for me! Let me know what you think of the vests. Hope you have a wonderful week.

Thanks for the review, Leslie! I prefer the fit of The New Little Puff Vest better as well. The Super Puff Vest looks so bulky, even the hood!
ReplyDeleteI have two puffy vests but barely reach for them. They are not that functional here in Toronto but I hope you'll get a lot of use out of yours.
Thanks Andrea! This is my first vest, I can't believe it. I hope at the very least, maybe I can throw it on in the apartment if I get cold instead of turning on the heat. 😆
Deletehi Leslie, Iridescent Purple Rain is very pretty! I would consider getting the Super Puff Shorty in this colour if I needed a winter jacket. I like layering a sweatshirt or hoodie under a down vest. The Aviator nation hoodie looks great with the Little Puff vest! =)
ReplyDeleteThanks Karen! Yes it is a really pretty color. Don't tempt me with the idea of getting it in the Super Puff Shorty! hehe, I def don't need it. I wish they had more items in the iridescent colors. They're my favorite!
DeleteOoo the puffy vest looks perfect on you! I have a zip up in total eclipse and it's a beautiful navy!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe I missed this post! I try to read all of them. It's not cold enough for big coats and jackets here. It is their clientele sale rn so I picked up more zip ups :)
Hi Janessa! I need to check out more Aritzia - so far just tried their outerwear. Let me know how you like their zip ups.
DeleteI have five zip ups now... haha! I like the boxy oversized zip up the best! I wear a LLL 2 and XXS is perfectly oversized! I was going to get XS but that wouldn't be as cute! It hits me on my hip. It does everso slightly shrink in the wash but it's still perfect that way. I got my bff some of the boyfriend hoodies and mega crews and she loves them too! I recommend any of the cozy fleece items :)
DeleteOh wow... I think I have to check out their zip ups for sure. Thanks for the recommendation!
