5th Anniversary Giveaway & Fit Review Friday! Ebb To Street Crop Tank, Adapted State HR Jogger Crop, Beyond The Studio Crop

Can you believe I've been blogging for five years? I can't! For my 5th Anniversary I am giving away a $200 Lululemon gift card to one lucky reader. All you have to do is follow me on Instagram, like my post and leave me a comment. I know some of you do not have an Instagram account. I would suggest asking a friend to enter for you, just make sure your friend is not into Lululemon. 😃 The post will be up tomorrow on my Instagram page and I will announce the winner next Friday the 22nd. This is my way of thanking all my readers who have stuck around this long and I've really come to enjoy getting to know some of you.  I always look forward to reading everyone's comments. I appreciate every single one of you.

Without further ado, let's get on with today's fit review. For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.

#FlexFriday! #grimacingface

This is my newest Ebb To Street Racerback Tank in Pink Lychee. I am wearing my usual size 6 in bras. Someone asked if Pink Lychee would work with asian skin tone and I think the answer is, "Yes!". The Ebb To Street Racerback Crop is my current favorite workout tank. I'm loving the built in bra. Not having to choose a bra and a tank separately is kind of amazing. So worth the $58!

I have not given up on trying Lululemon bottoms. Here are a couple more. The Adapted State High Rise Jogger Crop 23" piqued my interest. Is it petite friendly? Let's find out.

I'm wearing my usual size 4. The waist fits true to size. This is a high-rise crop but the waist band hits right at my belly button. The length is 23 inches which is fantastic. The length is almost full length on me, it's ankle length. The cuff however is just a little bit on the loose side. If it was a little bit more tapered towards the ankle, I would have kept this one.

The fabric is very light weight and comfortable. It almost feels like Swift fabric. The zipper along the ankle is a nice detail but doesn't make much sense on someone my size since the cuff is still fairly loose. The cuff is meant to hit the calf area and if it's a tight fit the zipper will make it easier to take on and off.

The fabric is a bit thin, panty lines show through.

Next up - Beyond The Studio Crop. I also reviewed Beyond The Studio 7/8 Jogger in the past. I linked to it in case anyone wants to check it out.

I am wearing my usual size 4 and it is true to size. These measure 25 inches in length. They are a little too long and there's extra fabric hanging over my sneakers. The waist is also high-rise and fit is similar to the Adapted State Jogger Crop. There is a drawstring to customize the waist. The fabric is light Swift material.

Love the large pockets.

I like the wide leg fit and love the gray sage color, but the cinchable hem kind of gets a little strange for me. I could not get it to look as good as the model on the website. I found the drawcord to be difficult to use and even harder to get both sides to match up the same. I gave up on it after fiddling with it for a few minutes. 😑

😕

Between the two crops, I liked the Adapted State High Rise Jogger Crop more. It was soooo close to fitting perfectly. If your calves are bigger than mine it is worth trying. That's it for me! Don't forget to enter my giveaway! I'll be posting it tomorrow on Instagram around noon eastern time. Have a fantastic weekend and good luck to all!

  1. Happy 5 years - and thanks for the review! I was looking at the Adapted State High Rise Jogger Crop just this week and hoping you might do a try-on. I gifted my boyfriend a pair of Surge Joggers earlier this year - before the full length Adapted State Joggers came out - and have been curious about them. I'm 5'2", and unfortunately, 23" never works quite right on me. They are always an awkward length and too baggy. I don't anticipate these will be any different. I might check out the full length version instead.

    1. Hi LZ- Thank you! I did try the full length Adapted State Joggers. They measure 28 inches in length and were much too long and baggy. on me. If you want to see some photos, here's my review.

I have the hardest time finding Lulu bottoms that fit me that are not shorts. Most of my crops and joggers are from Vuori and Athleta.

  2. The ebb crop looks good on you! Were you wearing the ebb crop in spiced chai when trying on the two Lulu pants?

I think the cinchable hems look unique! You might have to adjust the hem when you have them off to make them even - that's what I do with my tie back tops! 😅

    1. Yup! Good eye. I have the ETS Crop Tank in 5 colors now. Couldn't pass up Spiced Chai either. Would love it in Capri or Capture Blue!

Ahhhh I knew there had to be a trick!

  3. hi Leslie! Happy 5th Anniversary! Thank you for the review on the ETS Racerback Crop Tank in Pink Lychee! You're right! This pink is very flattering on you! I like that it's not as bright as Pow Pink and is more versatile for streetwear.

I think there's now a fleece-lined version of the Adapted State joggers. It's too bad that the length doesn't work on petites. Otherwise, it may be a good option for colder days.

    Have a great weekend!

    1. Thanks Karen!! I definitely recommend Pink Lychee. I like it better than Pow Pink, for sure.

Oh really. I didn't see the fleeced lined version of the Adapted State Joggers. I have to look that up. But agree, the length just doesn't work for us.

  4. Happy 5th Anniversary, Leslie! I have been looking at the Adapted State High Rise Jogger Crop 23" and thank you so much for doing a fit review. I think it would be an awkward length on me! Love the color though.

The Beyond The Studio Crop Gray Sage looks nice on you as long as you don't cinch the hems! :)

    1. Thanks Andrea!! I keep trying Lululemon bottoms but they just disappoint me! The Beyond the Studio crops aren't terrible, but a little basic for me to keep, I have a couple of other bottoms from Athleta that are similar and fit better.

  5. Haha don't ask a friend to comment who likes LLL! The hem. on the beyond to studio crop looks great on you! Too bad the waistband isn't good! Happy 5 years of blogging! That is amazing and inspiring.

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
