Fit Review! Align Waist Length Tank Top, Align Gathered Front Tank Top, Align T-Shirt, Align High-Rise Crop 17 inch
Hi everybody! Here is the promised fit review that are mainly fit requests from you guys. The only item I chose here for myself is the Align High-Rise Crop 17" Diamond Dye Lunar Rock True Navy. I really love Diamond Dye, and I'm pretty much a sucker for all the blues and purples. When I saw Ready to Rulu Jogger Crop in DD Lunar Rock True Navy I fell in love. Let's get to it!
For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms. My Lululemon bra size is 6.
I've reviewed the Align High-Rise Crop 17" before and you can read a more in-depth review here. I love the fit because they actually hug my calves and there is zero gaping. If you're petite, these would be perfect for those with narrow calves. For those who are curious, below is a comparison picture between Diamond Dye Asphalt Gray True Navy and Lunar Rock True Navy. I think they are different enough to justify both. The Lunar Rock is soooo pretty though. I definitely like it more than the Asphalt Gray True Navy.

Next up we have the Align Waist Length Tank Top True Navy and I'm wearing my usual size 6 bra size. I definitely like the longer coverage. I like it A LOT more. If Lululemon releases these in Diamond Dye, my wallet might be in danger. 😆 While the navy looks great paired with DD Lunar Rock True Navy, I am going to return the navy and hold out. The fit is the same as the regular Align Tank. If you love the Align Tank but want more coverage, this is for you! It measures around 19.5 inches long on a size 6. It does flare out a little bit at the waist but I like that it isn't skin tight. It's a good thing the price is the same at $58.
Next up we have the Align Gathered Front Tank Top in Spiced Chai. I am wearing my usual size 6 in bras. Even though this is made for C/D cups, I think anyone can wear this. I'm barely an A cup and it still works. I did think the fit is a little roomier than the Align Tank. I didn't feel as squeezed in by the band and armpit area. It's a little more comfortable if you don't like anything too tight like me.
The gathered front also makes my chest look a little more busty. 😅 The shadows around the pleats gives it more depth. Very sneaky! Overall, I like this tank as well and definitely worth giving it a try even if you have a smaller cup size. The price is $10 more than the regular Align Tank though. For $68, it does seem a little bit high and something to consider. Maybe if it gets marked down on WMTM?

Last but not least we have the Align T-Shirt. I did not take modeling shots of the Align T-Shirt because it was so ill fitting. I went with size 6 because of how small it looked on the model. I would say purchase your usual size, do not size up. The size 6 did not fit my shoulders at all, they were slipping off, but the body and the waist fit fine. My concern is if I bought my usual size 4, it would have fit in the shoulders but the waist and body would be super tight. It is also very low-cut. It would pretty much show any bra that I wore. Love the concept of this, but sadly it did not work for me. For $68 I think this one is overpriced.

Thank you very much for the detailed reviews! The Align Crop in DD is my favorite. I also like the Align Tank Waist. It looks like an improvement from the regular Align Tank, but the flare on the bottom would bother me. The Align Tank Gathered fits great but it somehow does not look as sleek plus it costs more. DeleteI love Diamond Dye prints and have crops in Graphite Gray, Graphite Gray/Pink and Asphalt Gray/True Navy. I love them all and am tempted to get the Diamond Dye Lunar Rock True Navy in Ready to Rulu Crop, but am worried about pilling. Can’t wait to see your fit review!
ReplyDeleteMy First Athleta order just arrived! I ordered the Studio Jogger in both regular and petite sizes and ended up keeping the petite ones (black and black heather). The petite ones are a tad short but fit way better that regular length. It would be perfect if they were an inch longer,

Hi Andrea! I bought the Align Crop 17" in the DD Lunar Rock True Navy because I already know the Ready to Rulu Crop won't fit me. I've tried it on before and it's not petite friendly at all. The cuffs are sadly comically wide. Here's my review-

Sorry I misunderstood and thought you ordered the Ready to Rulu Crop! Read your review and yes the cuffs are ridiculously wide! Sad cos it’s so pretty in the Diamond Dye pattern. :)
DeleteI keep looking at the Ready to Rulu Crop and wonder what are the chances the cuffs are still ridiculously wide? Because yes it is super pretty and this is when I really wish Lulu would make petite sizing. =( At the same time the Align Crops are $30 cheaper lol!

DeleteI bought just one thing, the Delancey herringbone tights. I chose the brown and black colorway. I already have an older version in the black and white herringbone so I picked a different color. I'm ready to wear fall clothes but the weather will be hot for a while longer where I live.
DeleteI do love herringbone tights! Great choice. It will be hot here for a little while longer as well. I don't think the temperatures really start to drop until mid-October. That's okay though, I like the warmer weather vs cold! Even though fall outfits are the cutest.
DeleteI need DD aligns! I only have a pair of DD align shorts. Both the longer align tank. and the C/D version look great on you! I wouldn't have thought the C/D version would work for an A. Maybe if I can try it on and it's on markdown I'd consider! I do think the ruched front looks really cute.
