Fit Review Friday! Banana Republic Sport Petite Sweater Jogger, Flyweight Jogger, Crew-Neck Sweater, Sweater Pant, Wide-Leg Cropped Pant Core Temp

Happy Friday! I know everyone is waiting for Lululemon's summer sale and it may or may not happen. I haven't heard any news, BUT there is a Vuori Summer Sale going on right now. It doesn't happen often and it's worth taking a look. Their super popular Performance Joggers are on sale too. For sizing I wear XXS/XS, either works for me.

Today I'm reviewing items from BR Sport! I used to be a huge fan of Banana Republic back in the day, but over the last few years I started mainly shopping from their sister store Athleta. Recently Banana Republic launched their own elevated athleisure section called BR Sport. I decided to order a few items to try. Let's get right to it! I'm warning you now, this is a very image heavy post.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and wear size PXS in BR Sport. I also wear size PXS/P0 in Athleta and typically wear size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.

Number one- I LOVE that BR Sport offers petite sizing! However, I accidentally ordered this Crew-Neck Sweater in regular sizing instead of petite. I'm wearing size XS. As you can see the overall fit isn't terrible but the length is a little long on me. I linked to the petite version because I do think the shorter length and shorter sleeves would have fit better. I did end up returning this and I am debating if I want to order it in the petite size. The color is Bahama Sand Beige and it is a gorgeous neutral. It really does remind me of pink sand or a mink color. The fabric feels like a very high quality knit. It drapes beautifully. The wedge detail at the neckline does slightly make this a more casual sweatshirt vibe but paired with pants and a blazer- I think it would be office appropriate. The knit definitely elevates this sweater. I highly recommend this top, I think it is beautiful. It's also machine washable!

Inner drawstring (it's peeking out just a little bit there.)

Next up we have the Petite Flyweight Jogger With Core Temp. I ordered this in two colors to try. The Heather Charcoal pairs amazingly well with the Crew-Neck Sweater. I really wish my office would let us wear joggers, but this would strictly be outside of work for me. For those of you who can pull this outfit off at your workspace, please do! How cute is this outfit?

I'm wearing size Petite XS. The inseam measures 25 inches long which is my preferred length. 24 inches would be even better, but I can't really complain. It hits exactly at my ankle with just a little bit of extra fabric. The waist is mid-rise and the waistband is very stretchy and comfortable. The Core Temp part in the name refers to temperature regulating. This is also packable, wrinkle-free and offers UPF 50 sun protection!

Also wearing Rothy's The Lace Up Golden Metallic Size 5

The fabric itself is very smooth and silky and featherlight. There's also a small zippered pocket to stash headphones or keys. Pretty nifty! I also purchased these in Sonoma Plum, which is unfortunately sold out at the moment. This color also works with the Crew-Neck Sweater in Bahama Sand Beige. Yes, I think I need to re-order the sweater in PXS. 😆

Next is the Petite UV Resistant Sweater Jogger in Orca. I'm wearing size PXS and it fits overall, but it is slightly baggy around the thigh area. You can see it the most in the side photo. I do wish it was cut slightly more slim fit.

I still spend quite a bit of time at home these days, and I have a couple of lounge bottoms I've been wanting to replace. This sweater jogger definitely fits the bill. I'm wearing size PXS and the waistband sits right under my belly button. The band is super stretchy and comfortable. The fabric is a medium weight cotton blend knit and probably more of a fall staple. The length measures 26 inches long. I've already worn and washed these. They wash and dry beautifully. I did wash these on the delicate setting and air dried. The ankles tapers with a cuff. I think they're a great addition to my loungewear collection! I do think these can also be dressed up and worn out as well.

Two pockets and drawstring front.

Next up we have the Petite UV Resistant Sweater Pant in Heather Gray. I'm wearing size PXS but I do feel like these run a little larger than all the other bottoms I've tried so far. The waistband does feel just slightly loose on me but not enough that I'm worried about it falling off my hips. They're super comfortable, very soft and cozy. The wide leg is flattering and the length measures 26.6 inches long. They are mid weight. Similar to the Sweater Joggers, these are a little heavy for summer but will be amazing for fall.

Also wearing Cates Tee Size 4.

Last but not least, are the Petite Flyweight Wide-Leg Cropped Pant With Core Temp in Hyper Navy. This has a high-rise waistband and hits my belly button. This crop has a pleated front and two back pockets. The fabric is very smooth and lightweight. I wasn't too crazy about the overall fit of these. I felt as if the hips flared out a little too much.  They definitely look better from the back than the front. I would have preferred a straight leg fit. Length measures 23 inches which is perfect. I really wish I liked these enough to keep.

I have a pair of the Athleta Brooklyn Wide Leg Crop Pant in Navy that I purchased last year that look and feel very similar to these. The major difference are the lack of pleats in the front and the leg is wider. I personally prefer the Athleta ones myself, you can check out my review of those here. I will admit the Banana Republic version does look a little more streamlined and more office friendly. I would still say it's still worth checking out.

Overall I'm very pleased with my experience so far with BR Sport. If you're looking for high quality items that are semi sporty and something you can wear to a casual workspace, look no further. The Petite Flyweight Jogger With Core Temp are my favorite purchase so far. I've decide I'm going to order that sweater in petite XS. If you're looking for more lounge pants I highly recommend both of the sweater bottoms I tried. If you have tried BR Sport, definitely let me know what you think of this line. I am digging this elevated loungewear/athleisure look!

That's it for me! Hope you all have an amazing weekend!

We tried HelloFresh for the past two months - Here's our review

Hi everyone! This post is written by my husband. Some of you may know he does all the cooking around here. 😅 We noticed we were spending a lot of money on food and eating out every month and wanted to see if a meal kit service would save us money and time. After looking at a few meal kit services we settled on HelloFresh. Without further ado, here's Jared's review. (Original post date Aug 2022). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As you may have seen from Leslie's Instagram stories for the past 2 months, we've been using HelloFresh for most of our meals. The main drivers for this were to better track what we eat and because on the advice of my doctor, I should be eating more home cooked meals. Before I go any further, it should be noted that my original career path was in culinary arts, but twists and turns in life changed that. So I do have formal cooking experience. A little background story. Over the years, I've developed
