Fit Review! Aviator Nation 5 Stripe Jacket Navy & 5 Stripe Hoodie & Van Gogh Exhibit!

I'm pretty excited about today's fit review. I'm still on a rainbow kick because of #pridemonth but seriously, give me rainbows all year round. This world needs some cheering up and yes I also love Care Bears. 😂 Hashtag 80schild.

This is the second part of my Aviator Nation haul. If you missed part one, check it out here.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and wear size XS in Aviator Nation. I also wear size 4 in Lululemon tops.

This is my third Aviator Nation hoodie so I won't get into too much detail. I just can't over how comfortable they are, and I basically live in them ever since they arrived. I'm wearing size XS and love the fit on my petite frame. I'm hoping that this will be my last Aviator Nation hoodie for a while, at least the full zip ones. I really want to try their other pullovers because I'm pretty sure I'll love them just as much. I've also been thinking about getting a pair of their sweatpants to try. A little on the fence because of the length. I'm pretty sure it will be too long but I'm still curious.

The moment I saw this jacket I had to try it. I opted for Navy over Snorkel. Snorkel would have been fabulous if I had blonde hair though. The color has the softest sherpa lining. I think it's sherpa it doesn't actually say. The insulation is Primaloft. The outside has a coat of water repellant which I'm kind of excited to try. It's too hot here right now, so I'm still waiting to wear this out. It definitely feels like it is a warm but lightweight jacket. I am 100 percent obsessed. I'm wearing size XS which is the same size as the hoodie.

There are two pockets on the outside that can be zipped up. The zippers are gold and high quality. The AN logo on the front is embroidered. The upper sleeves do poof out at times but I think it might be because it's new and not broken in yet. The model shots also show some with the same kind of poof. I love this jacket so it's a keeper. While this is a gorgeous jacket, I don't think I'd be willing to shell out money for a second one though.

There is an inside pocket.

A few close ups of all the details.

I love the detail on this zipper!

In other news, I went to the VanGogh Immersive Experience at Pullman Yards. It's a traveling exhibit and I think it's totally worth checking out if you're near any of the cities it's going to. I splurged on the VIP tickets but I'm not sure it was totally worth it. You do get to skip a longer line and we were escorted faster into the exhibit but the only major difference was the VR experience at the end which I didn't think was worth the price difference. You also get a free poster of Starry Night. Here are some photos I took. The exhibit took me about two hours to get through but I really stopped and read everything and spent a lot of time letting everything sink in. If you're a fan of Van Gogh, it's definitely worth it.

Happy Monday!

  1. I totally enjoyed the Van Gogh Immersive experience and it was last August when we went in Toronto. Thinking of going to a Claude Monet one later.

The AN jacket is cool and the rainbow colors really stand out with a navy background. Size XS fits you well and even the sleeve length is good. It’s expensive but definitely a keeper!

    1. Ohhhh I would love to go to a Monet one! I have to see if that's coming here. Definitely one of my favorite artists.

Thanks!! I've gotta go on an AN ban soon... lol.

  2. Cute hoodie and jacket on you! I’m still loving my AN Bolt hoodie in red and black.

Thanks for the Van Gogh experience exhibit pictures! I have tickets to go in November to the Washington, DC location and am looking forward to it.

    1. Thanks Jenny! I am really loving all of my AN purchases so far. It's dangerous because I have not returned a single thing I bought.

Enjoy! November is so far away it seems like but I know it'll be here before you know it.

  3. hi Leslie, Thanks for the Aviator Nations fit reviews! I like the retro colours! The hoodies, T shirt and jacket all fit you well!

  4. Ok your review of the jacket sold me. I had a similar style one in high school that I loved; had to give this a try. I’ve never ordered from AN before! Got two sweatshirts (the charcoal zip 5 stripe and the charcoal crew with neon on sleeve) and the same jacket as you but in black - I don’t think I should keep all 3 but… maybe it will be a new job present to myself. We shall see!

    1. Hi Shannon! Woo hoo! I'm excited to hear if you love it as much as I do. Let me know what you think of the crew because there is one I'm eyeing... Congratulations on getting a new job! Definitely something to celebrate! =D

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
