Hope everyone had a nice weekend! Some of you may remember from my Things That Made 2020 Bearable post, Vuori Joggers made the list. I recently placed another order to buy my husband a couple of pairs and also added the Halo Essential Hoodie to try and another pair of joggers in size XXS (I've been buying the XS).
For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms. For Vuori this translates to XS/XXS.
Halo Essential Hoodie Charcoal Heather Size XS
I decided to try one of their pullovers this time since I really like their Halo Performance Hoodie. If you missed it, see my review.) The fabric is buttery soft, it's one of the main reasons I keep coming back to their joggers. I ordered size XS in this and the fit is slightly boxy. I would say it's just slightly too long on my short frame, but I don't mind it.
The sleeves are also a little too long and there are no thumbholes which I think is probably the biggest issue I have. I like the thumbholes especially if the sleeves are a little long. The sleeves are fairly roomy but it does taper down to the cuffs which I'm not too crazy about either because I wear an Apple Watch and it does feel a little bit too tight there. In the bottom picture you can actually kind of see the outline to my Apple Watch.
I do like that the hood has a drawstring. That's a nice little detail to have. Other than the small sleeve cuffs this is a really comfortable top. I would say this top is true to size. I'll keep this one but doubtful I would order a second one. This is a light weight hoodie. It's the same fabric as the joggers. Probably best used for lounging or if you like exercising outdoors, it could be used as a layering piece.
On to the joggers! When I first started shopping at Vuori, they only had size XS available in these joggers. There was some talk about releasing petite sizing, but I guess because of Covid, it's been pushed back so instead they released size XXS. For comparison you can check out My Review for the XS Performance Jogger. Both fit, but if you do want a more fitted look, the size down also works. The length however measures the same in the XXS and XS (25 inch inseam), the main difference is a more tapered leg. The waist is stretchy enough that either size works for me, plus there is a drawstring to tighten as needed.
Performance Jogger Clay Heather Size XXS
By far these are the best joggers I've found that is petite friendly. Going forward I will be purchasing XXS. I've got four pairs of XS and will still continue to wear them, but if I want to wear them out, I may want the tighter fit of the XXS. The smaller size looks a little more streamlined. The fabric is thin and light weight. You could use these for exercising, but I''m probably going to stick to lounging and casual wear. I wouldn't recommend these as a winter jogger. I'm hoping Vuori will eventually release heavier and thicker joggers like the Scuba joggers with the same fit. I went with the color clay heather and it's a pale light gray with a hint of pink to it. It's a very unique color and will be one I'll be using often in the spring and summer.
Now that I've had owned a couple of pairs for over 6 months, they do hold up really well to washing and drying. I wash these in cold water / casual cycle and then I throw them in the dryer at the medium temperature setting and they have not shrunk at all. There is a little bit of wear on the fabric but remember I literally wear these almost every single day. I wear these even more than my Lululemon bottoms now. There's no worry about these getting snagged or developing pilling. My Aligns, which I love wearing, are now sitting in the drawers and I'll use them for some of my workouts during the colder months. It's just insane how comfy these are. I have no doubt I'll be ordering more pairs. I'm waiting for some new colors to come out. The price is $84, which I think is totally worth it. But if you're new to Vuori there is a 20% off your entire order for just signing up to their emails. There's also free shipping and returns over $75. If you find the XXS is out of stock, they do restock sizes frequently.
I just love how tapered the cuffs are.
Also wearing Rothy's Lace Up (review coming soon)
That's it for me! Let me know what you think and if you're a fan of Vuori already, let me know that too!

I love the whole outfit on you! I wouldn’t size down on the top cos the shoulders and chest might be too tight. The slightly boxy look is cute and I only wish the sleeves were shorter and came with thumbholes.
ReplyDeleteThe jogger fits you perfectly in size XXS. I’m jealous that you have so many cool brands to choose from in the States! I’ve been thinking of getting a pair of Lululemon jogger but either the length is too long or the price too steep. During the pandemic I just hate having to go to the post office to return something, and that’s why I haven’t done much online clothing shopping for months. My wallet is happy though. :)
I bet your wallet is happy! Vuori only ships within the US for now, but they are working on international shipping.
DeleteUnfortunately have not found a pair of Lululemon joggers that work for me. =(
I love the fit and color of those joggers on you! Too bad that color and size is OOS but I think I've been convinced to get a pair!
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo! Let me know which color you go for and what you think if you try them out. I'm pretty confident you won't be disappointed. =)
DeleteI love how the joggers fit you! The ankles are nicely tapered and the length is perfect. Clay heather is a nice colour too!
ReplyDeleteThanks Karen! I'm wearing them right now. =)
DeleteLove the more streamline fit of those joggers on you. Hoping it'll be safe enough to have the borders open so I can get them shipped to my US parcel receiving outlet. May i request a review on the restful intention sweater wrap? Thank you
ReplyDeleteYou got it! I just placed my order. Hopefully I"ll have it up next week or so.
DeleteHow well have the joggers held up now that you’ve had them for over 2 years? And Athleta/lululemon fabric would you say the dreamknit fabric is most similar to?
ReplyDeleteHi Lillian! I still have my very first jogger that I purchased about 3 years ago and they've held up amazingly well. They're not as soft as they were brand new, but that's to be expected after 3 years of regular wear and washing. I have about 10 pairs of these joggers and they're my best purchases ever. Cost per wear is probably close to 0 dollars by now. Not sure if Athleta has anything very similar to this, I would say Lululemon's Rulu mixed with Nulu is probably the closest thing, but it's thinner than Rulu and the inside feels the same as the outside. Hope that helps!
