Fit Review! + Athleta Sale! Mineral Wash Crop Tank, Studio To Street Camo Sweatshirt, Pure Luxe Sweatshirt, Solace Bra

Is everyone keeping cool in this summer heat? Athleta is having an extra 20% off sale thru Monday which means I have a few items from the sale to review.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 and typically a size PXS/XS/XXS in Athleta depending on the style and cut. I'm normally a size 4 in Lululemon.

I loved my Mineral Wash Crop Tee so much that I picked up the Mineral Wash Crop Tank to try. This tank is the perfect length for petites. It wasn't too long and it wasn't too short. The arm holes are a little big, but I do think that is the style for this kind of tank. The tank is made of a sweat wicking fabric that is thin and dries fast. It's a very lightweight tank. The neck hole was comfortable. Overall I did like the tank but I didn't love it on me.

Next up I decided to try some of the women's sweatshirts to see if I liked them more than my Athleta Girl sweatshirts I reviewed earlier this month.

Studio To Street Camo Sweatshirt Size XS

This sweatshirt is currently sold out. I'm wearing size XS and it is a little bit long in length, but the bottom of this sweatshirt has a stretchy band so you can customize the look. I don't usually gravitate towards camo, but wanted to try something a little different. The outside of this sweatshirt is buttery soft. The inside however is terry and I was a little surprised to find that it feels a bit rough against my skin. I wasn't expecting that. Otherwise I loved the fit and look but I ended up returning this one.

Next up we have the Pure Luxe Sweatshirt. This sweatshirt is labeled beyond soft and I knew I would probably love it and I wasn't wrong! The second I pulled it over my head and felt that cozy soft fleece against my skin it was game over. 😅

Similar to the Studio to Street Camo sweatshirt, this one also has an elastic band around the hem, but I actually like it. The elastic band keeps the top from riding up as you move around. I am really liking the oversized look lately, otherwise I'm pretty sure I could have also fit the XXS as well. Either size would have worked.

Sleeves are a little long and there are also no thumbholes. I'm okay with it since it's on sale for $55.99. There's also the extra 20% off which makes it even more tempting to buy this in another color.

I also want to try these too, I am a sucker for anything labeled beyond soft.

(Also comes in petite!)

(Also comes in petite.)

Last but not least I have to say Athleta's Solace Bra is my new favorite everyday bra. Great for low impact workouts and I love wearing it instead of my normal bras. They're so much more comfortable that I am going to replace my Free to Be Wild bra collection so I can purchase more of these! For fit I wear a size 6 in Lululemon bras- and this translates to a size small in the Solace Bra

That's it for me! Hope everyone has a great Monday!

  1. I’m so glad you like the Solace bra!! I have one in 3 colors now and use them as my everyday bras.

I really like the Pure Luxe sweatshirt on you, do you find that the neck opening is too tight or bothersome on you?

I tried the Coaster Luxe sweatshirt a while ago and couldn’t deal with the way the neckline was cut, I was constantly tugging on it. It went back. I liked everything else about it though.

    1. Hi Jenny, the neck hole was totally comfortable on the Pure Luxe sweatshirt. Not tight at all.

Really, I am surprised about the Coaster Luxe sweatshirt. Wouldn't have thought there would have been an issue with the neckline. That's too bad, but good to know, thanks!

  2. The pure luxe sweatshirt looks so cozy! The mineral wash tank reminds me of the muscle love crop but longer.

    1. It does look like the muscle love crop but different fabric. Thanks, the sweatshirt is like being wrapped up in a cozy blanket. =D

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
