Fit Review Friday! Banana Republic Faux Fur Bomber

Happy Friday! Banana Republic is offering an extra 60% off sale styles today. I tried on this super cute faux fur bomber at the store recently.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches and typically a size PXS/XS in Banana Republic. Size 4 in Lululemon tops and size XXS/PXS in Athleta tops.

I was pretty impressed with how soft the faux fur is. I'm wearing size XS here and it works because the style of the jacket is cropped. The bomber look is something that never really goes out of style in my opinion and I like the ribbed cuffs and hem. The thick collar is also also a nice touch. The jacket hits at the hip and does not cover the bum. This jacket is semi fitted and very comfortable in the size XS. The PXS would have been a little bit more fitted on me, but they didn't have it at the store.

The fit is slouchy in a cute teddy bear way. The sleeves are as always too long on me. I did not go home with this mainly because the camel color is never a shade I reach for. If this came in another color like gray, I might have bought it.

Unfortunately this jacket is completely sold out online, but Banana Republic has a lot of other faux fur jackets currently available and on sale.

In other news, WMTM updated with the Plush Scuba Hoodie for $89! Dark Adobe is sold out otherwise I would have liked to pick one up for myself. I love the night diver and purchased one for my sister. If you missed my review, check it out here.

That's it for me! Hope you all have a great weekend!

  2. I saw the plush scuba but didn't buy it in time! I have too many hoodies and jackets so maybe next year! The BR fur jacket looks so cute on you! I love that color too.

  3. The faux fur bomber looks really cute on you but like you, I’m not particularly fond of camel color. It would be nice in grey or cream colors. So what’s your verdict? Which is your most favorite sherpa/faux fur jacket so far?

I checked out the Banana Republic website but the faux fur/sherpa jackets are soooo expensive!

    1. Good question!!! I think the best sherpa jacket goes to Athleta's Tugga Jacket. Best faux fur goes to Patagonia's Lunar Frost Jacket. I really love the cut and style. I just didn't love the color. I'm hoping next year they will release better colors.

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
