Fit Review Friday! Athleta Store Try Ons! Canopy Wrap in Nirvana, Tugga Long Sherpa Jacket, Takin' It Easy Jogger

Happy Friday everyone! I'm pretty excited about this post. The Canopy Wrap in Nirvana is my first clothing purchase of the year/decade.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches and typically wear a size XXS/PXS in Athleta. For Lululemon tops I usually wear a size 4.

I've gotta say, Athleta has some really nice wraps. The Harmony Wrap I purchased over the summer is one of my favorites to wear on the weekends and it always makes me feel comfortable and happy. The Canopy Wrap is super soft. It is on the thin side, but keeps you warm without the bulkiness. The sleeves are long but I didn't find the look to be unflattering. I love that this wrap also has side pockets! The length is long and hits my knees.

Pockets for the win!

This color is called mineral brown, but it looks more like a deep mauve to me. It's very pretty and feminine. I don't usually go for brown based coors, but this one seemed easy enough to wear with the clothes in my closet. Right now it is freezing, so I haven't had a chance to wear it yet, but I am waiting for spring to arrive, hopefully soon!

I'm wearing size XXS and I find it to be true to size. I'm very happy with this purchase! I'm also eyeing this Nirvana Wear Two Ways Wrap in volcanic violet. I think it would be perfect for spring.

Next up- the store actually had a size XXS in the Tugga Long Sherpa Jacket so I had to try it on.

The XXS is definitely the right size for me. It still makes me look like a cuddly teddy bear though. There is no escaping that look. It's super warm and I actually kinda wish I purchased it now that it is freezing cold here in Atlanta!

I love the oversized hood. It is really cute. It might be my favorite sherpa jacket at the moment. Sigh. Maybe next year?

It looks the best in this color!

The Athleta store also has a girls section and these joggers that looked like it might fit. I'm wearing a size large/12.

Athleta Girl Takin' It Easy Jogger Black Camo Size Large/12

These are baggier than my other Athleta girl joggers that I own. The inside is lined with fleece and they feel very soft. The legs are fitted straight down to the ankles. I prefer a tapered ankle for joggers. The length was perfect.

Side zip pocket.

Overall, I found these to be too baggy for me. I love joggers and always look to add a few more to my wardrobe. Will keep on looking! My goal this year is to not settle for less than perfection.

That's it for me! Hope you all have a great weekend!

    1. Thanks! It says 75% modal, 22% poly, 3% lycra, the ribbing is 95% modal and 5% spandex.

  2. I have the Canopy wrap in mineral brown and love it! The material is super soft and the way it hangs down is just right. I’m a huge fan of Athleta and have quite a few of their wraps. This looks looks great on you!

    1. Sounds like you have an awesome wardrobe! Is your closet mostly Athleta?

    2. I definitely have a ton of Athleta clothing! I like their return policy better than Lululemon and I seem to get a lot more wear out of Athleta than any of the other athleisure brands I have.

    3. True, Athleta has an amazing return policy. They will take almost anything back!

  3. You made me envy again. Don’t think Athleta will ever make it to Canada though ...

The wrap looks awesome on you and I love the color! Not a brown person but it looks more mauve tone to me as you’ve mentioned. It’s long yet not overwhelming on your petite frame. Love the stand up collar and how the wrap drapes.

The long Sherpa jacket in size XXS definitely fits you better but I do find the hood too big. It might look nicer if it’s more rounded instead of pointed, and it looks kind of comical in the last picture! Just my opinion thought. I bet it’s super warm and cuddly.

Thanks for the nice review and have a wonderful weekend!

    1. I wonder why Athleta hasn't made it to Canada yet. I know you have BR and Old Navy, right?

I went back to look and the hood does look like an upside down bucket! hahahaha it does look funny now that you mentioned it.

      Thank you! Same to you!

    2. Yes we do have Gap, BR and Old Navy but I believe the only brand doing well is Old Navy cos their prices are competitive.

I saw the Radiant Jacket in Heathered Spanish Oak on sale at a couple Canadian stores over the weekend and believe they will go to WMTM soon. Stay tuned!

    3. oh wow, did you end up buying it on sale? Or did they honor a price adjustment?

    4. I brought mine with the receipt to the store and they were kind enough to honor the sale price. :)

  4. The wrap looks fantastic on you. Good purchase!

I love your goal of not settling for less than perfection. Too often I've seen a blogger list what is wrong with an item, what keeps them from purchasing it. Then they go on to say that if it goes on sale, they'd buy it. I always wonder why. If it's not good enough to purchase at full price, what will make it good enough to purchase on sale? (I understand there are some things a person loves but simply doesn't believe they are worth the full price, thus wait for the sale, but that's different.)

    1. Thank you!

I too have been guilting about having said that in the past- if it goes on sale I might buy it. But I'm not going to do that anymore. Life is too short to have anything in your life that doesn't work for you 100%.

We tried HelloFresh for the past two months - Here's our review

Hi everyone! This post is written by my husband. Some of you may know he does all the cooking around here. 😅 We noticed we were spending a lot of money on food and eating out every month and wanted to see if a meal kit service would save us money and time. After looking at a few meal kit services we settled on HelloFresh. Without further ado, here's Jared's review. (Original post date Aug 2022). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As you may have seen from Leslie's Instagram stories for the past 2 months, we've been using HelloFresh for most of our meals. The main drivers for this were to better track what we eat and because on the advice of my doctor, I should be eating more home cooked meals. Before I go any further, it should be noted that my original career path was in culinary arts, but twists and turns in life changed that. So I do have formal cooking experience. A little background story. Over the years, I've developed
