Store Try Ons! Hooded Define Jacket & Sundown Wrap

Happy Friday everyone! Thank you all for the birthday wishes and encouragement on cleaning out my closet! I'll have a post written up soon and I'll talk about how that went. A while back I tried on the Hooded Define Jacket in my normal size 4 (check out my original review here) and  found it way too tight. I've been meaning to try it again in the next size up. I've never been a size 6 in my life, but there's always a first!

This jacket is made out of nulu, and it is amazingly soft to touch. The size 6 feels so much better than the size 4. The sleeves however are very long on me. I did pull them up a bit and that did the trick without looking or feeling bunched up. I'm sure the print helped camouflage the extra fabric around my arms.

Sleeves are very long.

This jacket felt very comfortable on. The length of the jacket hits at the hip and does not fully cover the bum. It's very similar to how a regular Define Jacket fits in terms of length. I would definitely say 100% this is a size up item. Since I'm on a ban, I did not purchase this but it's on my wish list! I really love the spanish rose lining and lace detail. It looks fabulous paired with a spanish rose bottom like the Align Crop that's currently on sale.  I just love this color so much!

Here are some more photos of the Sundown Wrap. I know I promised to take better pics of the one I bought but the sun is not cooperating with me lately. I'll have to try again this weekend. The size I'm wearing below is the size 2. I wanted to see if this was a size down item.

While the front still looks fine, the size 2 is noticeably shorter in the back than the size 4. (In case you missed it, check out my size 4 review here.) Also the sleeves are a lot tighter in the size 2.

The biggest difference is how the back fit. It is definitely too tight across the back. The size 4 is a better fit for me so this item is true to size.

Last thing I want to mention, there's a decent WMTM upload. If you're not on a ban here are my picks!

(Matching bra!)

(These went on sale pretty quickly. Guess people weren't buying them up! My fit review here.)

Scuba Hoodie $79-$89

That's all for me! Hope everyone has a great weekend! Let me know your thoughts on the Hooded Define Jacket. I'm seriously tempted to buy it once my ban is over.

  1. The hooded define looked good on you. I like the pink on the inside. Was it just on the hood or the whole body? I bought the rulu define last year and the sleeves were long on me too. I really like the rulu define, one of my favorite pieces! The longish sleeves don’t bother me. I might have to check out that spanish rose hooded define! The size 4 sundown wrap definitely looked Much better on you. Happy belated birthday!

    1. The pink covers mainly the hood. It might extend to the collar area a bit. The rest of the jacket is lined in black if I recall. Thanks for the birthday wishes!

    2. Sherry did your Nulu Define pill?

  2. I love that hooded define jacket on you. I just ordered that same one in the spanish rose print. I’m a sucker for pink and black anything!

    1. Ohhhh nice! Let me know how you like it when it arrives. I have to be good for another 20 days hahahha.

  3. Yes this Hooded Define looks really nice on you. Not a pink person but Spanish Rose is pretty and it goes well with black. Wish the sleeves were a bit shorter though.

You’re right, size 4 fits you better in the Sundown Wrap. Lulu wraps are usually oversized and I’m surprised that this one is TTS. I wish the new Find Your Calm Wrap came in Heathered Spanish Oak!

    1. Me too, the Find Your Calm Wrap is totally something I would buy but not crazy about the colors. Maybe they will release more colors.

  4. Happy belated birthday! I'm tempted by some of the WMTM especially the FTBW bras. But I'm trying to cut back on spending too much on LLL.

  5. I have the RULU define. And nope- no piling. I actually have thee defines (different fabrics) and no piling. I wash and machine dry my lulus and no piling. Maybe there’s some piling between the thighs of my wunder unders, but that’s normal lol.

  6. Thank you for your feedback, Sherry. I had bad experience with my Luon Groove Pants cos they pilled like crazy. Most of the Define Jackets are made with Luon and maybe I should check out the Rulu ones.

  7. This is a side note, and I know you’re on a ban so I shouldn’t even mention it but I know you’re looking for more work clothes and versatile pieces... I just bought the on repeat bomber and it’s the perfect little addition to my wardrobe... it’s almost like a casual jacket blazer without the collar. Definitely petite friendly. Can’t wait to hear how your wardrobe thing went!

    1. Once my ban is over I will definitely check out the On Repeat Bomber. Would you say this is a true to size item? Should I stick to my normal size 4 tops/Define Jacket size? Which color did you get?

  8. I bought size 4 in grey (I’m normally a 6 in defines). Black would have been nice too.

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
