Comparison photos: Dusty Mauve, Velvet Dust, Rose Quartz

Velvet Dust Hotty Hot, Dusty Mauve Speed Short, Rose Quartz Hotty Hot

Looks like as if velvet dust and rose quartz had a baby and popped out dusty mauve. Dusty mauve and rose quartz are kind of close.

So yes, I am on a ban, but I ended up picking up these rose quartz Hotty Hot Shorts because I wanted to do a photo comparison with my other pink shorts. Now I'm undecided and kind of want to keep them! I thought they would be too similar to justify keeping, but now I'm looking at all three colors together and think they are different enough? What do you think? Am I too pale for rose quartz? Someone say yes, lol.

I'm wearing these in size 2

Hope everyone had a great weekend! 4 more days until it's September. I'm a little sad summer is ending. But fall is just around the corner and I love me some cute fall outfits. I'll have my fall lust list coming up soon!

  1. Sooo pretty! Thank you for the color comparison! I think rose quartz and velvet dust are different enough to keep both. Rose Quartz looks really feminine and beautiful on you, but I do like the Velvet Dust on you more.

Did you see the new Japanese floral print? I love both the black/white and blue version (maybe blue more) and trying to convince myself I don't need them.

I am definitely looking forward to the upload tomorrow night and maybe hotty hot II's in deep rouge will appear too!

Can't wait to see your fall lust list!

    1. I did see the Japanese floral prints. I think for me it would depend on the dark seams. If it's too apparent on either color I will probably pass. My pet peeve is a dark crotch/butt seam. From the photos I think the dark blue might be better for camouflaging but the black/white print by itself looks more interesting. Tough call!

  2. I have pale skin, too, which is why I passed on this color. I think the other two pinks are flattering!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Review! Balenciaga Rodeo Bag Size Small Plus Video

You all know I love my bags, and as a Balenciaga collector, I don't often stray from the City and First style. The Rodeo (pronounced like Rodeo Drive) really caught my eye. It gives off a slouchy Hermes Kelly vibe, but way more practical to use.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall. Balenciaga Rodeo Bag Small The Rodeo can be carried a few ways. It comes with a crossbody strap that is not adjustable but it is removable. Not sure why anyone wouldn't add a few extra holes to make a strap adjustable these days. Come on Balenciaga! Do better! The top handle is a bit too long for this to work anyhow, I feel like the top handle gets in the way. It sticks out and doesn't sit well in my opinion. I wouldn't carry this bag crossbody unless it was an unforeseen emergency and I really needed my hands free. This bag looks more chic carried by the handle or crook of the arm. It also looks nice left open with the help of the flap tucked in. The Rodeo resembles the Kelly bag ...

Happy Friday! I can't believe it's almost Halloween! I actually have a dentist appointment on Halloween. One of my molars chipped and needs to be filled in. It's a tiny chip that I didn't even notice until my dentist pointed it out to me during my last visit. I'm not looking forward to it at all since I will need local anesthesia. Anyway, today I have a belt bag size comparison review for you all! For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.
