What We Love! March 24th 2016

Sorry for the late update.  I've been frantically packing for the big move to Atlanta.  My updates on the blog will be sporadic until we are fully settled into our new home.  Right now I'm sitting in a mostly empty apartment.  The POD we ordered is packed and already on its way down to Atlanta.  We will be making our way by car and our cat by next week.  Hope you all have a Happy Easter!

So this week the only thing I might be interested in is the High Times Pant in Zinfandel.  I'll have to try it on and see.  I do love the High Times Pant over the Wunder Unders.

  1. good luck with the move ... very exciting! I also much prefer the high times to wunder unders. not sure I can justify the deep Zinfandel since I already have Bordeaux drama, but I also just bought two black swiftlies. lol.

  2. I may get them. But I'll wait until I can get to a store and see them in person. Hopefully I won't like them!

  3. Hey! I went to my store and tried on the &go When You're Cold Wrap but I didn't like it enough to buy it! It looks great open but I didn't like it closed. It was also very stiff and didn't feel cozy, which was a turn off. Also, the hood looks totally awful when you put it on. For $168+tax I have to love it and I didn't so it stayed at the store.

I went to the store specifically for this Wrap but ended up getting the Bring It Backbend sweater in grey and the Turn Jacket. Want expecting these items to look so good!

    1. I love the Backbend sweater! The grey looks so luxurious. I'll have to see if the store has it the next time I'm there. I would love the Turn Jacket, I don't think the US has it though?!

  4. Both the Turn Jacket and Backbend sweater are now "old stock." I got the last Turn Jacket at my store. There were only a few of the grey Backbend left, no black ones, and only one of the Minty Pink. They are all sold out online. I was actually slow in buying these items.

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
