USA / Canada Upload! February 2nd 2016

Not too much I like in tonight's upload.  The Define Jacket is just too crazy.  I am loving the heathered red grape color though.  I'm on a spending freeze but doesn't mean I can't add items to my cart for later!

Stop At Nothing Crop in Mini Blooming Pixie Aquamarine

Vinyasa Scarf in Triplet Twin Stripe Heathered Angel Wing (is it me or is this old)

Swiftly Tech Racerback Tank in Heathered Flash Light

Canda I think got a better upload.  I'm such a sucker for Scuba Hoodies.  It is just ridiculous how much I like the Alberta Lake color.  Too bad it didn't come with a better zipper like rose gold or iridescent!

Did you guys get anything?  Or are you all on a ban with me?

  1. Still on that ban with you. Put the Alberta Lake scuba in my imaginary cart. Then closed the window. Day 2...phew! Made it.

    1. Yay! Me too. Added the What The Sport Tee in my cart but it's pretty pricey at full price, isn't it?

    2. I know. Wish it wasn't so pricey. I generally try to stay away from multiples in different colours, though. I find I always reach for one more than the other. My only exception (and weakness) is my swiftlies.

  2. Not on a ban, just not interested in anything enough to buy....been spending my money on Pandora instead!!!

    1. Very nice! That will definitely last longer than any piece of clothing.

  3. I'm definitely more interested in non-clothing (especially fitness wear) purchases. Saving my $ for a handbag splurge. It will be totally worth it!

    1. Handbags are totally another one of my weaknesses! This is why I can only afford one addiction at a time. Years ago I used to own a collection of Balenciagas. And I wasn't good about it like you are, saving for them. I just charged them up on my credit card. I know, very bad of me. So eventually I had to sell them all to get out of debt. Now I have a small collection of handbags, totally manageable. Which handbag are you eyeing? I've been interested in the Givenchy Pandora Box in the medium size. But it's about $2000 so I'm not willing to pay full price.

  4. I don't own any high end bags. I'm saving up for my very first - a Chanel "Wallet on Chain". It's a hefty price, but timeless. I hope to get it in black so that I can use it as much as possible. Reduce the cost per use, right?
Which bags did you end up keeping? I'm sorry to hear you had to sell your Balenciagas. :(

    1. That is a great choice!! I would love one of those too. Silver or Gold hardware? Or something else?

I ended up keeping 3 Balenciagas. 2 of them are Cities, one is a mini city.
I have 2 Alexander McQueen clutches. One is a knuckle clutch that I absolutely love.
One Chanel Boy in old medium in a subtle metallic charcoal grey with bronze hardware.
I've got a LV Speedy 30 Monogram LV.

And that's it! If I ever hit the lotto I'll get myself a Birkin and a Kelly. lol!

  5. That's awesome! You've got many coveted bags. Thanks for sharing. I'm fascinated by other people's collections. :)
I have loved bags from when I was very young. My mother used to shake her head at all my treasures. Mind you, they were all super inexpensive but I loved them all for their uniqueness :) Now that I'm older, I find that I would rather have one great bag rather than several so-so bags. Quality over quantity. So I'm ready to invest in a grown up woman bag (I'm 47!). I think the total value of all my bags does not equal one high end bag. Lol! I think it's time!

    1. Go for it! I got into bags at a young age also. But my first expensive bag was when I graduated college as a present to myself. It was an Icon bag which I still have actually, but it wasn't very expensive. Actually, it was expensive at the time. Around $400 I think. I can't wait for you to get your first high end bag!! You're going to love it.

  6. My first "expensive" bag was a Bree bag. I was in university and it cost me $400 as well. I worked all summer for it. I still have it, but it seldom gets used. It's usage goes in spurts. As for the Chanel, I think I will get the gold chain. I want to go the classic, traditional route. Hope this isn't the start of a slippery slope!

    1. I think as long as you save up for it, you'll be fine! I've had my Chanel for over a year now and only have taken it out for special occasions.

We tried HelloFresh for the past two months - Here's our review

Hi everyone! This post is written by my husband. Some of you may know he does all the cooking around here. 😅 We noticed we were spending a lot of money on food and eating out every month and wanted to see if a meal kit service would save us money and time. After looking at a few meal kit services we settled on HelloFresh. Without further ado, here's Jared's review. (Original post date Aug 2022). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As you may have seen from Leslie's Instagram stories for the past 2 months, we've been using HelloFresh for most of our meals. The main drivers for this were to better track what we eat and because on the advice of my doctor, I should be eating more home cooked meals. Before I go any further, it should be noted that my original career path was in culinary arts, but twists and turns in life changed that. So I do have formal cooking experience. A little background story. Over the years, I've developed
