Happy November! 2026 is coming to an end. The next two months are going to fly by. My no-shopping for the month of October was a success. I did end up breaking it for the Mooncat limited edition Death Note set but I'm okay with that. Mooncat is a small business and I'm happy to support them.
Today we have another bag to review! It's very similar style to Parisa Wang's Jane Bucket Bag that I just reviewed and if you'd like to see suede comparison definitely check out my video below.
For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall.
I've been eyeing the Parachute mini for a while. I hesitated because I wasn't sure if I wanted to try the grained leather or their suede. I'm usually not a fan of grained leather and prefer smooth leather. One of my bag friends ordered the Parachute small in the grained leather and ended up exchanging it for smooth leather. She said the smooth leather is much better in her opinion. That made me choose the suede. At the time I placed the order, the mini was only available in suede or grained leather. The Parachute mini is now available in smooth black leather. I don't usually carry black bags so I'm going to wait for more colors.
The Parachute mini is definitely a small bag. It doesn't come with a strap and it can only be carried by the top handle which can be limiting. The handle drop is not large enough to be worn over the shoulder.
I chose the mini size because the small size looks soooo big. It would dwarf me. The small size can be worn over the shoulder though.
On the website, the side with the pocket seems to be the front of the bag. I think the front can be either side to be honest.
Let's take a look at the details
The suede is actually not that nice in my opinion. It feels a bit on the rough side. I was not impressed at all, quite disappointed actually. I'd say it's on par with the suede bag I had from Songmont.
On the bottom of the bag has a huge RSVP branding, which is fine since it's on the bottom of the bag and no one will see it. I personally am not a huge fan of giant logos or branding on my bags. It also has four feet which is great. On one side of the handle shows the hot stamp of the serial number. Mine is hard to see. I think it says 062 out of 500. There are only 500 of these bags made exactly this way. The next batch of 500 will be made slightly different.
The handles are also suede and they are quite thick and wide. I have small hands and found the handles to be a little cumbersome to hold. You can lay the handles on top of each other.
Inside is lined with suede. There is magnetic closure.
RSVP bags are made in Italy. Limited to 500 pieces.
There is one small slip pocket and a D ring to attach keys or a pouch.
The bag has a slim profile. The edge paint was okay, but the seams on the bag are rough.
In the end, I returned this bag. I am glad to have seen it in person and now I know to stay away from their suede bags. I am interested in their smooth leather and would be willing to try them again sometime in the future.
That's it for me! I hope you all have a fantastic start to a brand new month!
