Parisa Wang Review! Jane Bucket bag in Suede

This is a super special post. I'm proud that my YouTube channel has grown and happy to share that Parisa Wang is my first collaboration. To me, this means my YouTube channel has officially made it. 😅

I've heard so many great things about their suede bags and I'm very excited to share this review with you all! That said, this was the most nerve wracking review I've ever had to do. I didn't want to come off as a sell-out and become one of those influencers that have nothing but great things to say about a bag. You're still going to get my honest feedback no matter what.

Full disclosure - Parisa Wang reached out and gifted me the Jane Bucket bag in exchange for a review. I do earn a small commission if you purchase using my promo code PetiteImpact12 for 12% off your purchase. That said, Parisa Wang has given me complete editorial freedom, and the opinions are entirely my own. You'll still get my honest take; the good and the not-so-good.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall.

I went with the Jane Bucket bag because you can hold it by the top handle and it also comes with a detachable crossbody strap. If you've been following me for a while, you know how much I appreciate being hands free when shopping and running errands.

The handle drop is 6 inches and fits comfortably over a jacket if you want to carry it by the crook of the arm. The detachable crossbody strap is adjustable. I have it on the shortest setting and the top of the bag hits right around the lower waist. The strap is on the thinner side, but at least you can swap the strap out for something else if you prefer.

Overall it's a comfortable carry and lightweight which is always appreciated because as I get older I tend to want to carry a bag that's light.

Let's take a closer look at the details. First off, the suede is incredible! It's as good as some of my high end designer bags. It's much better than any Coach suede I have come across  in recent years. I'm actually shocked at how nice it is. I'm going to do another review comparing all of my suede bags to see where Parisa Wang places in the lineup.

The belt that loops around the bag is a real working belt with double gold loops that are inspired by equestrian hardware. I really appreciate their design with keeping the hardware minimal because it helps keep the bag lightweight.

Back of the bag.

The double handles are comfortable to hold, I do feel like they could be a little thicker.

The edge paint on the bag is high quality. I actually sent some photos to one of my bag crafting friends and he was impressed with the edge paint. It's done very well, it's smooth and not clumpy. Little details like this matters to me. I also love that the bottom has four feet.

The entire bag is suede, even the inside is lined with suede which in my eyes elevates the bag. There's a strong magnetic closure and two D rings on the sides to attach the strap. I typically leave the strap inside the bag when I'm using it and if I feel the need to be hands free, I'll clip on the strap. The strap is light weight and doesn't take up much space at all.

Is there anything that I don't like about the bag? I would suggest two improvements. One would be an inside slip pocket for some organization and the second thing I would improve are the handles. I would want them to be slightly thicker or more sturdy because it doesn't have a nice drape when not in use and I'm not quite sure why. They're just a little too wavy. I would have liked the edge of the handles to be slightly rounded because I do feel the edge when holding it by the top handle, but that's me being extremely picky. That said, for $528 I think this bag is well worth the price. Especially since the goatskin suede is some of the nicest suede I have come across.

For an extra slouchy look, you can cinch the belt just a little bit on one side.

Would I buy a Parisa Wang bag? The short answer is yes, I would definitely try another suede bag of theirs without hesitation. Would I try one of their pebbled leather bags? I'm not sure. I'm personally not a fan of pebbled leather, I prefer smooth leather. Parisa Wang does have some styles available in smooth leather, but nothing stands out to me in their current lineup. For some reason the Grace Soft Top Handle Bag is only available in pebbled leather or suede. The burgundy suede looks luscious. Will this be my first Parisa Wang purchase? Stayed tuned. 😅

That's it for me, I hope you enjoyed this post and if you have any questions at all, let me know in the comments! Hope you all have a wonderful day. 😊

  1. Congratulations on the success of your YouTube channel, and your first collab! I'm so excited for you!

That bag looks like I would want to keep touching it all day. It looks so soft! It's a really nice size for petites too - not overwhelmingly huge, but still big enough to fit some stuff. I'm going to check out their website right now :)

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...
