Fit Review Friday! Lululemon Scuba Evolve Oversized Full Zip and Half Zip Hoodie

Happy Friday! Went to Lululemon last weekend to see if I could find the new updated Scuba hoodies to try-on. Let me know in the comments what you think of the updated Scuba hoodies!

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4/6 or XS/S.

First thing I noticed is the fabric is thinner which means the hoodie is lighter. That may be a plus for those who thought the hoodie was too heavy. I like the double zipper upgrade, but it does feel a little cheap because it's all made out of plastic.

The sleeves are not as oversized which I also like. The kangeroo pockets are very straight, I prefer the curved line of the pocket. I feel like it's a bit awkward looking and not as flattering. Overall the fit is boxy, but I do like the length. The embroidered logo on the hood is very small and there's honestly not much embroidery to the point where I don't know if they should even bother with it anymore! At the very least maybe use a different color to make it interesting.

The thumbholes have been removed which I'm fine with because  I never used the thumbholes, but I know some of you will miss it. The ribbing detail is so fine, it's hard to make out. I'm pretty sure there's ribbing along the front and the back, but it's so hard to see.

The back of the hoodie generally looks the same. I'm wearing size XXS and there's still plenty of room for layers. If I'm being honest, I think the original version is more flattering even with the gorilla arms! At the very least it had more character. This updated version looks very plain to me. The sizing selections have expanded and I think for those that felt XS/S was too big, the XXS does feel smaller.

The Half Zip Hoodie in black has the same details as the Full Zip Hoodie except the zipper on this one is actually metal, so I guess it depends on the color of the hoodie. The changes definitely feel like a downgrade. I'm just not sure these are worth the prices anymore. I'll probably look to Athleta for better pricing or if I feel like I want to splurge I would rather look at Vuori hoodies. I've been impressed with Vuori hoodies lately, and their prices are in the same range as Lululemon.

Will you be buying any new Scuba hoodies? That's it for me, I hope you all enjoy the last weekend of August!

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...
