Happy Friday! Some of you may remember when I wrote about how there are two different Ugg companies. I decided that I wanted to support the original Ugg company and I finally ordered a pair to try!
For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in sneakers.

Buying from Ugg Since 1974 feels more like purchasing from a mom and pop shop instead of these giant corporations. It felt personalized, like they actually cared and were really grateful you chose them. I could immediately tell from their packaging they were truly invested in this experience. The slippers were wrapped in tissue paper with a ribbon. There was a little card that said Stay Cosy Leslie with a little drawing of a heart. I felt like I was unwrapping a gift on Christmas morning.
These slippers are 100% handcrafted in Australia. They are also made to order. Which means it took about 2 weeks from the order date to ship date. Then it took about another week for them to get to me. Note that I placed this order in the middle of summer when no one in their right mind is thinking about warm fuzzy slippers. This 2 week turnaround is actually abnormal. Once fall/winter hits, expect the wait time to go up to 4 or 5 months. That said, I am seriously contemplating placing another order for a pair of boots. This way they'll actually arrive before I need them.
The slipper is completely made from Australian Merino sheepskin. My entire foot surrounded in coziness. You can really tell these are high quality slippers and should last a very long time.
I decided to keep these as my indoor slippers and they fit well with or without socks. I've been wearing them non-stop since I got them and it's been over a month now. The fur has flattened a bit, but they're still super soft and comfortable to wear.
I went with size 5 and I think it's the right fit. There's a chance I might have been able to wear size 4, but I didn't want to risk having it be too tight in width.

Those look super cosy and slip on action (no stooping). I always wondered what was the best way to brush out the fur inside. I refuse to believe that once its matted it’s too late!
ReplyDeleteHi AC! It's a good question. I'm not sure if you can, but I did notice that they do sell replacement inserts for boots. Since these are slip-ons, it isn't an option, which is a little sad!
