This review is long overdue. I've had the Mini Sloane in Hazelnut since April and have used it 16 times already. With the amount of bags I own, this actually ranks as one of my most worn bag in 3 months. The size is mini and fits all your essentials. (Check out my video to see what fits.)
The mini Sloane comes with a removable shoulder strap. I bought the matching Guitar Strap to wear crossbody when I purchased the Classic Sloane last year and I'm so glad I did because I can swap the strap with so many of my other brown bags. If you're a crossbody gal, I highly recommend the Guitar Strap.
Hazelnut is absolutely beautiful. I think it's the perfect shade of brown. I never used to be a brown bag girl but now most of my bags in my collection are brown. 😅 I definitely have a type.
Fount uses some of the best leather. I personally think the leather they use is better than Coach. It smells so good and the hand feel is buttery. This leather is minimally processed which means it's full grain natural leather. With use, this leather will develop a beautiful patina. If you're worried about scratches, I would recommend buying their leather cream which buffs out scratches. I have not yet conditioned my bag so you do see some scratches on it. I personally think scratches gives the bag more character.
Inside of the bag is unlined suede. It feels very soft. There are two pockets on each end of the bag. This is the one thing I would change about the bag if I could. I think one pocket is enough. Two pockets make the bag feel a bit too crowded and makes it more challenging to fit bigger items. For instance I think the iPhone Max would be too big for this bag. However if there was only one pocket, it would probably fit.
One side of the pocket is stamped with when Fount was established (2014) and tells you the bag was made in Dominican Republic. The bag itself is very lightweight, not heavy at all.
The mini Sloane is the perfect everyday bag. Easy to just grab for quick errands or when you want to be hands free, pair it with the Guitar Strap and you're good to go. That's it for me! I hope you all have a wonderful Monday.
Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe. So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos. The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. That's a cute little bag! I think the guitar strap is a must-have with it. It's nice that it's lightweight as well. I really like the Wolf colorway.
