Fit Review Friday! BeCalm Shrug with Updated Fabric, Athleta Journey Crop Pant, Airy Cotton Terry Shortie, Airy Cotton Terry Crew Sweatshirt

Happy Friday and Happy May! My parents are visiting this weekend. The last time they came down to Atlanta to visit me was back in 2016 when we first moved here. I guess I'll expect a visit every 10 years or when we move to another place. They basically want to check out the new house. 😂 Today I have a store try-on for you from Lululemon and Athleta.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4/6 and XS/S in Lululemon. I also wear size PXS or XXS/XS  in Athleta.

There wasn't much at Lululemon that interested me enough to try on except the BeCalm Shrug. The fabric actually feels super soft and cozy. I was kind of surprised at how much I liked it. I'm wearing size XS in the shrug and it's true to size. They do offer this in XXS, but I feel the length would be too short. The XS hits right at the top of the hips which I think looks flattering.

The sleeve length is always long, but as expected from Lululemon. Willow Leaf shade of green seems to be a very popular spring color. I like it, it's actually a very nice neutral. The shrug also comes in Pink Pearl and Light Ivory. My favorite is Willow Leaf. Price is $78 which I think is a bit high for such a small piece of clothing. If you are interested in this, I would wait for it to hit WMTM.

I'm glad the Athleta store had some Airy Cotton Terry and Journey items for me to try. Driftwood is a deep mauve with purple and brown undertones. It can really go either way. The color also varies depending on the fabric used. For the Airy Cotton line, the color is really beautiful. It's probably one of my favorite colors from Athleta. It's slightly lighter for the Journey line, with a hint of pink.

If you're one of those people that love a matching set, this would make a cute lounge outfit. The Airy Cotton Terry Sweatshirt is light to mid weight fabric and soft on the inside. I'm wearing size XXS and it's a perfect fit. If you prefer a looser fit, I would size up. For $79 I feel like this is a fair price. Even better with a 25% off sale that's currently happening.

The Airy Cotton Terry Shortie has a 3 inch inseam which I find to be the perfect length for petites. I'm wearing size XS and it's a very comfortable around the waist. I also like that it is mid-rise and hits right below my below button.

There's a very small side slit at the hem. These items made from 100% cotton, which is what I really love most about the Airy Cotton Terry collection. With the 25% off sale, I ended up taking this home with me. These will be great for summer and for lounging!

Last but not least we have the Journey Crop Pant also in Driftwood. As you can see, the color is lighter and also has a hint of pink with brown and purple. Still a very pretty color.

The Journey line is made out of Athleta's Featherlight Stretch fabric and it feels silky smooth and cool to the touch. These pants are lightweight and unlined. I'm wearing size XXS and the waist is just a pinch tight on me. The length hits at my ankle. I didn't find these to be flattering, so I left them behind.

That's it for me! Hope you all have a fabulous weekend! Wish me luck with my parents. 😅

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...
