Allbirds Review! Wool Strider Rugged Beige and 50% Off Black Friday Sale!
Black Friday sales are already in full swing! Everyone started their sales really early this year. Allbirds started their sale last week and when I saw the Wool Strider was 50% off I could not help myself to a pair!
For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds and Lululemon.
As you can see, I'm still in my neutral phase and Rugged Beige is so pretty in person. There's a hint of pink undertones with Rugged Beige that I really love.
I love the shoe lace grommets.
The elastic opening is a little snug, but I expect they will loosen up after a few wears. The fit is true to size. They're a perfect fit for me.
I've worn these out in the park and walked about 12,000 steps on the first day. By the end of the day my feet felt great. No issues at all.
A reader asked to see photos of my Athleta Tranquil Waffel Jogger in size Petite XS and I happened to be wearing the Wool Striders. Jared took these pics and he didn't tell me my bag was all squished against my body. 😆
Love how they look paired together!
Let's take a closer look at the details.
Wool Strider Rugged Beige Size 5.5
Really love this color. It's the perfect neutral and goes with anything. The laces are round which are not the best at staying tied. I often have to double knot these types of laces.
The Merino wool blend feels very soft, yet sturdy. The midsole design is flattering and pleasing to the eye. I wouldn't mind getting another pair in Dark Gray for a more sporty look, especially for $62! 😱
The sole offered enough traction for walking in the park. There were a lot of leaves and dirt pathways that were slightly tricky to navigate. I have not worn these in the rain yet, so I can't say how the soles would fare in wet weather. That said, so far I really love them! That's it for me! I hope you all have a wonderful start to the last week of November!
Hi Leslie, I used to check out the Allbirds site regularly but have stopped doing that for a while due to the limited colors offered on the Canadian site.
I love neutral shades and Rugged Beige goes with everything. The Wool Strider looks a bit narrow in the toe box. How do you compare the fit to Wool Runner?
The Tranquil Waffle Jogger is perfect in length on you, and it looks really comfy!
Hi Andrea! I didn't find it to be narrow. I think the Wool Runner Go runs smaller in size and width. I didn't feel like I needed to size up at all in the Wool Strider. I might actually get another pair of the Striders and let go my Wool Runner Go. They're that comfy!
Does the Canadian site at least have Rugged Beige?
I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself. For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...
So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos. The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off - $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe. This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
