Review! All About Coach's Loved Leather in Soft Empire 28 and Twin Turnlock 20

Happy first day of fall!! This was one of my last purchases before my no-buy challenge started. When I saw Coach's Loved Leather collection, I instantly fell hard. I just love the worn in look, even though you can tell in some areas that it does look intentional. I couldn't decide between the Twin Turnlock 20 and the Empire 28, so I bought both to see which one would work best for me.

First! Mod Shots

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall.

I knew the Twin Turnlock 20 would be small, but this is smaller than I thought it would be! The size would fit all my essentials, but the opening is on the smaller side and can be a little difficult getting things in and out of the bag.

This bag does not come with a longer strap, it's top handle only. The handle drop is 6 inches. Not going to lie, it is a super cute looking bag. I don't usually go for brown bags, but the loved leather is just so unique.

The Empire 28 is more my speed. I did purchase one in Honey a few months back, but I ended up rehoming it. I loved the bag itself, but the color was just a little too light for me. This size and color combination is right up my alley.

I already attached my Coach Dumbo charm to the bag. This one is definitely a keeper. I've worn this to work a few times and it's so easy to use.

The Empire 28 comes with a long crossbody strap, making this bag very practical and functional. The strap is petite friendly. I have it on the shortest setting.

The Empire 28 is a really nice size. It fits everything I need to carry with some extra room for more. If the bag were any larger, I think it would look too big to carry crossbody on my petite frame.

The loved leather just adds so much character and depth to the bag. I honestly love it so much.

Let's Take A Closer Look 👀

In the side by side comparison photo, you can really see how much smaller the Twin Turnlock 20 is compared to the Empire 28. There is a larger Twin Turnlock, but the handle drop is 9 inches which isn't ideal for me. That would make it a shoulder bag and I just can't do shoulder carry, but it is really lovely.

I know you're all wondering, just how does the loved leather actually feel? The hand feel is very smooth and quite soft even though the bag still holds its shape.

The zipper has very large teeth for such a small bag and here is where I'm going to be picky about the bag. When digging around the bag for your things, the teeth does scrape along your hands and I find it to be irritating. Especially when this bag has such a small opening, it isn't pleasant.

Inside is lined with fabric.

Even the handles are treated with the rub-off glovetanned leather.

Bottom has feet!

I love the shape of this bag. While it's structured, it still has very soft lines and curves. The twin turnlock pockets add visual interest. The brass hardware complements the color of the bag.

Moving on to the Empire 28 😍

I have the Empire 40 in Merlot and it's one of my absolute favorite Coach bags in my collection. The burnished edges are perfect for the upcoming fall/winter season. I think the loved leather would make a great addition to my fall bag rotation.

The bag comes with the T-Rex charm and the Coach hangtag. I added my old Coach dumbo charm to it. It does make a bit of noise when I carry the bag, but I kind of like it.

There is  a key clip on the inside of the bag. You can see how soft the leather is on the opening flaps and the zipper has much smaller teeth than the Twin Turnlock 20. I also think the loved leather is more pliable than the Honey Empire 28 I had. The inside is lined with black fabric. If I am to nit pick, I would have preferred a lighter color lining. Dark interiors make it hard for me to see my things. They sort of just get lost and then I typically have to feel for the items.

That is it for this review! I hope you guys enjoyed it. It was a longer post than usual since I am covering two bags. Which one would you choose? What do you think of the Loved Leather? I know it's not for everyone! I hope you all have a fantastic Monday!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
