I've Been Traveling - Boston Trip

For our tenth wedding anniversary, we wanted to go on a trip to celebrate, but we just couldn't decide on a location. Then Jared's job asked him to go to Boston for a conference and it just happened to be on the same week as our tenth and Boston was where we eloped. So, the decision was made for us! Here are some highlights from our week in Boston.

Warm lobster roll at Salty Girl.

Clam chowder at Salty Girl. This was the best chowder I ever had!

I really love the blue stained glass windows of this church.
Church of the Covenant.

Boston Public Garden
This is probably my favorite place in Boston.

The trees are just so beautiful.

The weather was almost perfect. It was 70s but very humid!

This was in the Liberty Hotel which was a former prison in the 1800s.
It was built in 1851 and turned into the Liberty Hotel in 2007.

It was pretty wild to see the structure of the prison in the backdrop of each floor.
Now there are kids and families running around.

I never heard of this brand Shinola, but this crossbody bag had some amazing leather.

Amazing ramen from Hokkaido Ramen Santouka

I'm still traveling and working at the moment, but the next review will be Lululemon's Fast Track Bag, which might be the worst Lululemon bag I've ever reviewed! Stay tuned. With that, have a great weekend!!

    1. Thanks Cindy! Do you have anything from Shinola? I really like that bag, but it's a little too big. Fantastic leather though!

    2. I don’t have anything from Shinola but my friend’s sister is a huge fan and that’s how I know of it. That particular bag you posted is just gorgeous and it comes in a mini version I noticed.

    3. I looked at the mini version but it's only 1L. Definitely too small. I need something in between the two sizes!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
